"The original Taco Mac, this location has been serving the Virginia Highland community since it all started back in 1979 when a couple of guys from Buffalo, NY made a pit stop in Atlanta on their way to Florida. After touring the city and enjoying the weather they decided to stay. All they had was a little cash and a great idea to bring a popular northern cuisine to the sunny South. Now they just needed a location to get the ball rolling. It didn’t take long to find the perfect spot, a quaint little taco shack on the corner of Virginia and North Highland Avenues – now known as Virginia-Highland. Ordered through Postmates and got this sad excuse from Taco Mac. They only gave us eight wings out of the ten we ordered, didn’t even include the ‘79 sauce for the philly egg roll and all the food was packaged horribly and was cold. Very disappointed. Not ordering from here again.  Also, Postmates wasn’t going to do anything except give the restaurant feedback. Which is ridiculous. Don’t bother ordering from this restaurant or through Postmates.

From beginning to end A1 service and food! Jada greeted me and my cousin the moment we walked in! She had a big smile on her face even thru the mask you could tell it was there and just made us feel very welcomed!  We ordered our food which again Jada was extremely helpful with answering all our questions.  She constantly refilled our waters without even us having to ask.  Honestly her service alone was enough for the 5 stars!!  Then the food!!! Omg everything was absolutely amazing.  Chicken wings, sweet fries, mozzarella sticks, catfish!!!!  Highly recommended  We came around 3pm on Thursday for those who wanted to know.

We used to love this Taco Mac location but lately they have been messing up all our online orders, sides of fries are half of a normal side, wings are way too salty, sauces are mixed or wrong, last time I got 3 sad pieces of celery with my wing order… we’re definitely changing location and hoping for the best of the others…

Food was amazing today. Service was just as great. The Manager, Chevy, came over to check on us and thanked us for coming in. Great experience today!! Wrote Taco Mac off for a minute after Covid. But now it’s our spot. They are back!!!

Fried juicy pickles. House salad! Wet lemon pepper wings!  Chicken quesadillas.  Only thing missing right now is football season! July 2021.

Not a good night for you guys. I hope you got my check. I attached a $50 and called it a night. Thanks to the manager that made my simple margarita. It was perfect. I wanted another but no one asked. Also, thanks for offering the military discount. Never did receive it but it was the thought that counts. It was a busy night. I get it. The margarita helped.

I’m honestly impressed that over the last 4-years or so that I’ve been ordering from this location they have NEVER made my to-go order correctly. Which is honestly hysterical because as a former employee from another life I know how much it takes to mess up an order - and trust me, it takes A LOT - but this location somehow messes it up every single time. It’s crazy.

Just ate here.  Wings were spot on, but the service really rocked.  We had Destiny, who seemed to be doing everything, but waited on us like a pro.  Highly recommend.

Ive always loved this taco mac however i placed an order through uber eat , i did not receive my full order as well as the food i received was awful. Took 3 times  for me to call and someone to assist me with my problem

Ordered takeout.  Arrived 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready then had to wait another 30 minutes for them to get our food ready.  They didn’t wrap the celery/carrots and the food was cold.  On top of that no apologies and rude staff.  They had plenty of staff on duty and it wasn’t busy.
