I have been to Estrella a few times prior to this one visit. We had service, and so I was quite surprised when it was actually counter service only. The person who greeted me didn't let me know this, so I was waiting 10 minutes for a server. Would have enjoyed it more had this been more explicitly communicated! We went downstairs to Bazati and the food was just ok.
Counter service on rooftop, was not expecting it but it wasn't a disappointment. We got our food right after we sat down. The views are greatly diminished by the new construction across from the patio, just a big building blocking most of the view. Spent $100 for 2 people with drinks, food was good but overall the experience wasn't worth the price.
Bartender later learned that his name is Aaron after I asked another bartender threatened me with security and kicking me out because "I was looking at him". This was yesterday, Oct 22; and I am repeating his words verbatim. I was speechless and astounded at the rudeness and level of his immaturity. I was just standing at the bar waiting to order and had been continuously ignored for quite awhile. Initially, I got a bartenders attention Aaron in a very polite manner, and was blown off/ignored multiple times. I was not pleased, so I can imagine the expression on my face showed that, as I was being treated with incredibly poor service - this is when he threatened to have me removed "because I was looking at him". he then proceeds to huff and puff while walking into the back room. When he comes back, he ignored me again and served others that had come in way after me. Cant say that I have ever experienced this level of rudeness and immaturity. I would be embarrassed if an employee with this terrible of an attitude towards customers worked for my company; and frankly the level of immaturity is almost concerning. Iwould want to be aware of this if my team treated a client/customer like this. Thanks.
On a nice Sunday afternoon, my friends and I went there to try some tacos. We had an amazing vue of midtown Atlanta, and we caught the sunset. We had different types of tacos. Myself I had shrimp Tacos and fish tacos, and they were so good. My friend has the langua, which means beef tongue, and the were a delicacy. I had a topo Chico water which made everything so perfect. We highly recommend this place. Five starts
My friend found a list of rooftop restaurants in Atlanta and this was on there so we decided to give it a try. It was a little difficult to find but it's next door to New Realm Brewery. This restaurant sits above another establishment and is upstairs only. It's not large but they do have indoor and outdoor seating and the outside is really cute. They have umbrellas to help block the sun and they even had fans to try to help cool you off. They have a good tequila variety so while I waited for my friend I ordered the margarita estrella. It was ok, not strong. Then I ordered guacamole and we sat outside when she arrived. You could see ponce city market and downtown. That guacamole was really good and the house made chips made it that much better! We ended up ordering another one and we had their blood orange margarita. If you're looking for good food and views I would recommend but the drinks aren't much to rave about.
I can’t comment on the food menu but the location is absolutely spectacular especially on a beautiful day. Estrella is a small bar & open air deck located upstairs from The Brasserie with tables & patio seating the staircase is located on the left when you enter. This would be an ideal Happy Hour spot or a nice place for a date night. The people watching on the Beltline below is pretty entertaining as well. Cool little find!
How did I end up paying 49+$ for 2 mediocre plastic cup margaritas and a estrella beer? Menu says 16 and 15, and the beer 6. I guess I should have come to the reviews before going to know that they apparently charge 20% tip on everything.
Beautiful rooftop bar. Perfect for drinks with friends and light bites. We actually loved the tacos yes they are small and the guacamole went over ok. The drinks are made with fresh ingredients. Note: They don’t take reservations unless you are with a large party. But I’ve been twice. Once right after they opened and just recently. It gets busy after dark but getting a table is not impossible. Go at sunset and enjoy a lovely evening.
Like this was on the belt line but it’s not big enough. There’s not enough tables with coverage from the sun. We had a waiter tall slender African American that acted like he hated his job every time you asked him something. He seemed to be younger and annoyed with people requesting service from him. The inside is very cramped and the more people that come the harder it is to get a line formed to order drinks. Tables were not being cleaned off. Menus were sticky when you picked them up….which was gross! I ordered guacamole and cheese dip and that was delicious! That is the reason I am giving 3 stars and not two….I love a good guac and cheese dip. If you go try to go at an off time or you won’t get to experience Estrella and take it in. I’m sure this is a beautiful place to experience, just not during peak season and peak hours! They were not keeping up with the traffic nor the cleanliness of the place because it was so crowded.
The only good thing .. is the roof top view! Could definitely use more fans out in patio , disorganized service, overpriced food, small selection on menu!!They definitely need to update website because it’s not even close to actual restaurant!! Take your money somewhere else !!
