Amazing tacos, lunch deal, and happy hour! Service was fantastic as well. The beer selection is good compared to most small taco spots they have draft selections. Definitely recommend this spot. I'm SO happy to see more restaurant options opening up on this side of town. Was not disappointed.
Loved the passion fruit margarita. I had two delicious small tacos. The service was magnificent and the place is beautiful and chic.
This place is quickly becoming my go to place for tacos. At one point, they had goat tacos ... I had not seen this anywhere else. It seems they discontinued the goat tacos, though ... Because there was little interest. Also, if you go early enough, you get a free glass of house wine.
Nice and beautiful Cozy restaurant at the neirborhood, tacos, Pollo Asado, Al Pastor, Barbacoa de Chivo, Lengua Etc tortas, quesadillas, Huitlacoche, Flor de Calabaza, Chicharrón Etc Nachos, Burritos Huaraches, Sopes, Tostadas, even Tapas, Salads, amazing selection of Reds and white Wines, best Margaritas and Mojios too!
Amazing jalapeño margaritas!! Best I’ve had in the city. Franco is a great server! Highly recommend
This place has quickly become a nice meet up spot to grab drinks and a quick bite after a long day at work. The Passion fruit Mojito was out of this world and the Al Pastor tacos are solid. The staff is also super friendly. I really hope this place does well.
Décor is very modern and inviting. Music selection is great. Menu and wine selection is good. Service is good. Servers are nice. The guacamole is made mild. I recommend the chef offer medium and spicy for different taste preferences. The Sandwich menu offers a Cuban sandwich but it is not a Cuban sandwich because it does not include shredded pork pernil, pickle, swiss cheese or mustard for that matter. The sandwich they offer as a 'cubano' is tasty, but certainly not a Cuban sandwich. They spiced up a hotdig and called it 'Chorizo'.
Food tasted good but everything was wrong. Staff needs to be trained on how to be wait staff and chef needs to be trained on how to cook salmon and churrasco to the correct temp that is ordered... It shouldn't be that hard to get what is ordered to match what is on the menu. It should arrive EXACTLY THE SAME AS I ORDERED!!! I gave 2 stars because of the service but who wants to go somewhere that the chef can't get the order correct.
I've been a fan of the Taco Mix on 116th St for many years. This location does not disappoint. The food is just as good, features a full bar, and great atmosphere with outdoor seating.
Taco Mix is the best Mexican restaurant in NYC. Great Tacos, Tortas, Nachos, Burritos and you get the point.
