We have our go-to Mexican Restaurants, but we were really in the mood to try a new spot and Tacos El Nevado did not disappoint. When we arrived, it was PACKED, but we did not have to wait long. The waiters were very accommodating and made sure that we were seated quickly. We ordered guacamole with chapulines grasshoppers to start, which was good. Burritos, tacos, huaraches. They were all delicious! Can't wait to go back for the quesabirria!

A great place for authentic Mexican food. They have a very simple menu and great service. It's great to dine in as well as takeout. I always get carne asada tacos, but sometimes I add on birria tacos, too they make these very well.
First time trying this place and had some Awesome tacos de birria with cheese, the consomé was delicious, The hot sauce complements them so well. It Was so good I went back two days after and tried their delicious torta con chorizo. Great service Highly recommend this authentic Mexican food.
Great authentic Mexican food at excellent prices. This place is the real deal. They had to find someone who spoke better English. We were probably the only non-spanish speaking patrons there. My son and I were visiting Charlotte and were in the mood for burritos and Google suggested this place. Kind of a run down building and somewhat cramped inside - but clean. Despite the minor language barrier service was efficient and courteous. The best part was the food. My son and I agreed that if we've ever had a better burrito it was so long ago we don't remember. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will make a bee line to this place next time we're in the area.
I wasn’t a fan of the chicharron taco and it definitely didn’t look like pictured on the menu but it was still very good. Also, this location does not serve alcohol but the other one does.
One of the greatest tacos spots in Charlotte. Anyone who complains about their food, are mistaken. They are hard working people who serve many families and hard working men and women in Charlotte. They know tacos because they make tacos. It’s Taco El Nevado, and you will absolutely love their food. Be good, do good.
The Quesabrilla is one of the best traditional Mexican dishes I have ever had. They come served as 3 or 5 with a soup on the side for dipping. Very simple in design as it is essentially a deep fried tacos with pulled beef and cheese but it is delicious. This location is less trafficked than the other in CLT and is less congested on the inside for seating.
Good food at good prices... They need a bigger space.. The servers need to apply a little better and put attention to the customers instead of wasting time chit chatting behind the counter.Food: 4/5
Food here is really good! I always get the sopes Barbacoa and my fiancé typically gets tacos and switches up the protein. I agree with previous reviews on them charging for things like lemons and even a side of chips to have with their table salsa which does regularly come complimentary at other Mexican style restaurants. The service could use a bit of a facelift, I would recommend ordering to go if they’re busy and keep in mind that you need to get up to pay they do not bring you the check so after you’ve eaten you’re on your own they don’t really advertise that. Lastly the waitstaff doesn’t speak a lot of English and can sometimes be rude I’m bilingual so I don’t mind the Spanish, but I’ve seen other customers struggle greatly and get wrong orders because of this. This is one of those places that you go for the food and not the experience.
