Tailhook Towing & Shelburne

Great service. I was stuck in Burlington going through the list of tow companies, and after several impolite refusals to tow my truck to my family's shop in barre...these folks were more than willing and super friendly. HIGHLY recommend them. Thanks!

Dishonest crooks. Avoid them or get everything in writing. Tailhook towed my motorcycle over a long weekend with the promise that I would not be charged for storage if they worked on the bike. Since it was a long weekend and I was only passing through the area on vacation, I had no other options because all shops were closed. After the weekend I call them and they insist I pay $100 a day in storage and that they don't service motorcycles (despite this they had a motorcycle being worked on in their garage when I dropped mine off). I was stuck paying. I will say the tow truck driver was great and dropped my wife and I off at the airport to get a rental car at no extra charge.

I've been waiting for over an hour and a half for the driver to show. No ETA given by person talked to on the phone. Had to call 3 times before Driver signaled he had gotten the signal to come to my location. Driver has yet to contact me. It is now almost 5 am.... so tired I just called and woke up my wife to come jump me. Don't ever use this company. Just called and canceled them coming. Never met a towing company that does so well it can ignore customers.

These people are rude. They over charge for towing. And stole all of the gas from my car! Literally a full tank of gas when they towed it (less then 2 miles down the road) and I had no gas when I picked it up within an hour after they towed. They charged $160 for a tow of 2 miles and for the car to be in their "lot" for an hour! They are a complete dump for what they charge. And steal from innocent mother's. This place should be shut down.

Mechanic here is honest. The customer service, excellent. After calling a few garages, these guys were happy to help with an immediate problem on my van. Thank you again guys for doing my both of my wheel bearings on the drop of a dime.
