This man deserves a million stars for taste and service! His warm smile welcomed us to the truck, but it was his food that has is back two days in a row. His adobo is the best I've had and his rice is always sticky. We're here til Friday and you can bet we'll be back
This was the worst food cart ever. I ordered a shrimp and vegetable tempura. It was full of batter which was not even cooked. Neither was it crispy nor did it have any flavor. And then there were no vegetables at all. For the owner, onions qualify as vegetables. I am never ever going back to this food cart again.
The pork adobo and pork belly were so tender and flavorful! Large servings of great food and the person cooking/serving was a pleasure to deal with. This cart is definitely worth stopping at!
There are no other Japanese Filipino places in Portland so this is a one of a kind gem! This is a little food cart with delicious food for a reasonable price! We had the pork adobo plate. There was tempura vegetables as well as tempura shrimp! Everything was absolutely delectable and the pork adobo was juicy and flavorful! The chef was super nice and gave us samples before we ordered. Their customer service was amazing and I really enjoyed my visit!
There are plenty of food truck options in Portland to choose from, but this one is near and dear to my heart since there is only one serving Filipino food in the downtown area. If you like food that warms your insides with memories of parents that equate how much they feed you to how much they love you, this is it. The portions are HUGE and there is a bar/seating area on the side of the truck. My favorite dish to order is the Imbutido platter basically Philippine meatloaf and tastes just like my grandma makes it. Be sure to greet the owner/chef “Kuya Luis”. He is extremely talented and treats every customer like they are family at least I feel that way when I get handed a heaping serving of fresh hot food. This is Filipino comfort food at its best!
This is a place that you didn't know you needed until you try it! Amazing food and very gracious service! The Lumpia is fantastic and the pork belly sublime!
This place deserves the full 5 stars it has. I was a little reluctant to purchase here due to the lack of signage no food names/prices however the cook was so warm and friendly that I decided to purchase the combo. I was delightfully surprised at its amazing quality for its reasonable price. The beef, chicken, and pork belly were tender and tasted homemade. I would recommend this to everybody and anybody, this is truly a gem in the rough.
The highlight of my. Sam was actually the rice! I didn’t know rice could taste so good!! Very inspiring. The meal itself was pretty darn good although the pork was excessively fatty. Definitely a fun new genre of food to try. Main drawback was that the cart opened 40 minutes late and I had to wait as I placed my order through an online service.
I love filipino food and there's a lack of it downtown. Then I discovered Tamago Bros! Great adobo and pork belly! Generous portions with a very reasonable price tag. Fun menu, in general. The chef is a classic filipino - extraordinary friendly and warm.
Stumbled on this place looking for some good food - Chef Luis drew me in with samples of his homemade tamago and WOWZA tasted just like my grandma's. He has remembered me every time I've gone back and always dishes out amazing food. Cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for amazing Japanese/Philippino cooking.
