Tanglewood Music Center

Our favorite summer music venue. The Boston symphony is always on their game during these performances. One of the best musical experiences anywhere. The venue is in the covered shed, but open sides create an outside feel with protection from the occasional thunderstorm. Tickets are generally available at the last minute and sitting on the outside lawn is a great experience.

My first visit so far, and it was unforgettable. The vibe is unique for sure. We went to see John Williams, and I couldn't think of a better concert to experience on the lawn. I look forward to going again, decking out our spot to the 9s as it seems to be tradition. Bring your best bottle of wine, pretty glassware, a picnic! I can't wait to return. New England at it's best.

You should check the seasonal schedule every Spring. Make sure you get some lawn tickets for the best concert. You will not regret it.

Tanglewood is a special treat. If you are able to get away to see them one of the best things you can do at Tanglewood is to see a open rehearsal. Tickets for open rehearsals are inexpensive. You can get seats close enough to the conductor to hear him directing the orchestra and making corrections as they rehearse.

Great experience. You have to take time to visit every corner of this place. Every musician or nature lover will love this place.
