All my tacos were great, the lengua, the al pastor, and the red salsa were the highlights. Cash only, so come prepared. And they have a bottle of Valentina at each table, so you know the food is legit.Food: 5/5

This is a great hole-in-the-wall street taco joint. Great Al Pastor, solid Lengua though I would personally prefer a bit more pressure cooking time to really soften it up, the Buche is excellent too. The horchata is sweeter than Peggy Sue on a Saturday night, so be sure to get ice in it to dilute it. And don't mind the bullet holes in the front door - it provides a great demarcation point for a proper entrance ;-. Lastly, cash only, so plan accordingly.

I had some friends take me here. I really cannot stress enough how great this place is. It is a little hole in the wall restaurant, but the food is absolutely wonderful. Very traditional and flavorful. Everything I had was exceptionally delicious. They have good tacos al pastor.Food: 5/5

when my family and i first got here, it looked like an abandoned place, but we called the number and confirmed that we could come inside. they immediately greeted us as we entered. the servers are incredibly kind. the food here is also really good; just what we were looking for: i will totally recommend more people to comeFood: 5/5

Being a military guy and moving here from Arizona I know what good Mexican tastes like. This place met and surpassed my expectations! The food is outstanding! There is nothing on the menu that I haven't just loved. The pictures don't do the food justice. The service is also very good. The most authentic Mexican I have had in Wichita. Make sure to bring cash as they don't take cards.

I’ve been to a few taco places after moving here.. I’m so glad to find this place as it’s definitely top 3! Don’t judge the food off the building and lot.. The tacos are delicious and the service has always been great. CASH ONLY. Always get the Pastor! The Pollo, Asada, and Barbacoa are too!

Love the al pastor tacos. Each bite is scrumptious & rich burst of flavors in the mouth. Been across bunch of upscale & hole in the wall restaurants in the US nothing beats tacos from El Fogon. There's a reason they have 1K+ reviews & 4.5 star ratings. First time I visited this place was when I was a sophomore in college 2017 and had my first taco here..lol. Been in love ever since. My first 5 star review restaurant. Make sure you have enough cash to buy seconds & for tip. Make sure to savor each bite of the taco! Visited: 2/10/2022

I ordered tacos al pastor and my husband got alambre al pastor. The flavour of al pastor was just ok, not bad but i personally would like to find a better tasting one. Aguas frescas were $5 each which are on the expensive side but they were refreshing. The 2 ladies at the front were friendly and nice. Place is too dark and there is a broken window. The entrance is tricky I walked around the establishment trying to find the door. Overall, just ok.

Cash only. Kind of hidden from the street. Old Orange Building looks rough on the outside. I tried the gorditas and the tacos. The pastor were really good, very flavorful. The Barbacoa was okay, not much flavor. The gorditas were small but very filling, they come with meat lettuce cheese and tomatoes and refried beans inside. The servers were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant looks very clean inside.
