Great neighborhood hardware store. Has just about everything you need. Prices are reasonable. Helpful staff.
OMG! Such a helpful staff. I am doing a creative engineering masterclass and have a project to build. I forgot my sketch but described it and they went out of their way to help me figure out what to consider and what tools to buy. I left the store feeling excited, and funnily enough, before I went in their store, I was actually tired and hungry. It will be my go to store during the course.
Great selection and very knowledgeable staff much better than Home Depot or Lowes
Every neighborhood should have an amazing local hardware store like this one. The staff here is so so so friendly and knowledgeable! Any question I pose they can direct me from types of paint to use depending on material to caulking to keys being made. When we've hired contractors they'd come in here because they'd have all the supplies they'd need. Prices are also extremely fair, or lower than you'd expect. I've lived in different areas all over the city and these guys are the tops. So glad they're here.
Fantastic hardware store with great employees. A neighborhood staple.
TLDR: staff is super helpful, patient, and don't try to upsell you on stuff you don't need. I'm the first to admit that I'm clueless when it comes to home improvement projects. We came in earlier today confused why our drill bit and anchors didn't play nicely just would not stick in the wall - Mitch was really helpful, explaining how to drill in properly, differences between drill bits, and which anchors we should use. Turns out I was drilling incorrectly and using the wrong anchors! We just came back, followed his instructions, and everything worked out great. :
My kids live in Brooklyn by the hardware store. I come down multiple times a year and my daughter frequently has a project for me. Since her and her husband have limited tools and many times the project is last minute I have to go pick something up to make it happen. This is the go to place. Good variety, Convenient location and the prices are good. People are friendly. Happy to support a local business.
Fantastic hardware store! They always manage to have exactly what I need every time I go there. A few examples that spring to mind: -picture rail hooks necessary to hang artwork on the picture rails often found in brownstones -BR30 light bulbs an odd size needed for track lighting in my apartment -plexiglass sold at the perfect size to easily cut down into panels for either side of a window A/C In addition to a very well curated inventory, the staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly. I've never had to wander around looking for someone to help me or answer a question, which is great. I don't write a lot of reviews but as I was leaving Tarzian Hardware the other day I thought "I hope they have really great reviews online so people know how nice of a store it is. I suppose I should write one." :
I always have a great experience here. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here ready and eager to help. Also, you can find anything you think you'll need for any DIY projects you may have planned at home. Dog friendly!
Tarzian has an amazingly wide selection of products, it's well organized, and the staff are great! They're always willing to brainstorm solutions, even if it means taking time for what turns out to be a very small purchase. I love hardware stores in general, but Tarzian is my favorite.
