were too crisp for my taste, the sausage flavoring were great though.
Pretty impressively bad pizza I recall ordering twice in the past year, just to be sure, and during slower hours at that. Really thick, dense crust. Like chewing through a cushion. Toppings were sparse enough to see the dough in places that weren't the crust They're also kinda small. And crazy expensive. It genuinely had me contemplating what domino's was like and whether it was worth giving it a shot after this. Fortunately since then I've found other places other 48 North and Love Verona which are also accessible, at a premium, through Uber eats... Which is still cheaper than tastebud for a walk in order. Bummer because the pictures of tastebud's pizza look really good. Almost gave this 3 stars, but decided to try other pizza places first and quickly realized this is even less worth it than that lol. Apizza, hotlips, ken's, love verona, 48 North, and many others exist in a 5 mile radius if you want good pizza. Getting a pizzicato pizza isn't as good as the suggested above, but during a special it'll scratch the same itch as tastebud's for less than half the price.
A great neighborhood restaurant and bar featuring wood fired pizzas, fantastic soups and entrees, very adventurous salads and sophisticated drinks. Highly recommended.
Very delicious pizza, but not many choices. Brussel Sprouts with bacon had the right amount of crunch without being fried to a crisp, amongst few other choices. Atmosphere is pleasant and simple.
Tastebud was a fantastic experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It took us about an hour to get a table for 8, but smaller groups were seated much faster. While waiting for the pizza, we had the kale salad. It was large was enough for three people. While simple, it was delicious. The drink had everything we needed. Then the pizzas came out after about 20 or so minutes. We had ordered the Melty Mushroom and the Walla Walla. Both were unique and delicious. The crust was excellent. Soft with a nice crisp to it. The Melty Mushroom was my personal favorite. The mushrooms were fresh and the raceltte was fantastic. I highly recommend Tastebud for when you're looking for a more unique and upscale pizza experience.
Their "Pesche" pizza is easily in the top 5 best pizzas I've ever had and I've had a lot. Not the cheapest pizza I've ever had, but man, was it ever good! Crust was perfect out of the oak fired oven, ingredients were flavorful and fresh. Note: I never , ever heard of a peach being on a pizza... but mixed with the fresh jalapenos, capers, mozzarella, ricotta, fromage blanc sauce... well it is just phenomenal!
My wife and I love pizza. Tastebud makes great pizza. Candidly it isn’t the best in Portland - Ken’s Artisan and Apizza Scholls are a step above.... However tastebud is the most expensive pizza in Portland. This pizza cheese, mushroom, olive, pepperoni, sausage was $37!! The pizza is great - the prices however are not
Delicious gourmet thin crust artisan pizza in an open family friendly environment. Build your own or try one of the creative pies available such as Dill With It, or the broccoli and cheddar combination we had. The crust is wheat forward with a rustic flavor developed by their wood-fired pizza oven. Try a few salads to share and a full pie for a group of four and you will be good to go. Service was good on our visit. Be sure not to park in the three stalls adjacent to the restaurant, or your car might not be there when you are done.
I didn't have any pizza but they make fresh bagels on the weekend. A very nice treat.
Every taste, sight, sound, smell, and touch in this establishment were sensational. The service was excellent, the food was delicious the space very comfortable and inspirational. Try the salads, they are phenomenal. Top notch bar and beer selection. It's the kind of place you want to write to the world about..!
