The patio on a summer evening is lovely! It also adds a lot more seating, although you should still need to get a reservation. The service is good. The menu changes with the seasons. I love to try seasonal specialties. I love gazpacho and it was fun to try a new variety with melons and avocados, although I would have liked it spicier. The presentation of the pork chop was beautiful and it was very tender. The cocktails are also good! I have consistently enjoyed my meals and this time I also enjoyed the jazz band playing music in the background.
Met some old friends for brunch here. Never heard of the place and don't get down this way often but I'll have to come back again once I'm drinking again. I had the breakfast burrito and it was good but could have used more bacon and I didn't reach any avocado until I got to one end of the burrito...the opposite of where I started. The bar area looks really cool and they have Hpnotiq so can't wait to have that with some Hennessy, and the drinks my people had looked pretty cool. Service was great and we had reservations on a Saturday morning but didn't need them. It was raining but they have roll up doors that they may open in summer so we shall see. Parking: I parked at the other end of the place and walked. Plenty of parking down there but the spots are mostly compact and the non compact spots are still small. Not a fan of the small spaces.
It is a nice place with creative food with some classics. The drinks were excellent the food different, the green chill chicken eggs could of used some hot sauce in my opinion. Must of been short staffed or something. Easily worth a try and would of been 5 stars aside from the wait for the check .Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Nice atmosphere, and good food. To be honest, the food is a little too fancy for me...at least that's how I interpret it off of the menu. If you like fancy food, check them out!
Nice spot to hang out and get some drinks/food. They mostly have high tops so if that's not your speed you have a limited chance at one of their regular tables. The food is pretty good, of the things I've had the Crab and artichoke did was amazing. The steak was overly salty but still good. When it gets busy, service can be hit or miss but they are Ll really nice people and super friendly maybe just short staffed? The atmosphere here is great and it's a great environment for work or with friends.
We went for dinner on the patio at Tavern on Kruz to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had been there a year ago and had a lovely dinner and service. Last night's experience was extremely disappointing. The food was very poor! Everything was overcooked, pasta, flank steak, and fried chicken. Vegetables couldn't be substituted for the mac n cheese, only French fries. Why? Is a small serving of a vegetable that much more expensive than French fries? The strawberry shortcake was absent fresh strawberries but did have a few tiny strawberry pieces that were sugar soaked. The entire desert was so sweet I couldn't eat it. The virgin margarita was mainly orange and not much lime. The food delivery was well paced, but the waiter never came back to check on us. We had to ask several times for water to be refilled. The music was too loud for conversation. Frankly the place reeked of management/ownership more concerned about $ than quality food and taking care of their guests. Very disappointed and never intend to return. There are so many better restaurants in the area.
Cool place to play music at, and excellent front of house staff. They covered my drink when it was forgotten, which was nice of the bartender. I had the glazed fried chicken. The fry on the chicken was amazing, but the glaze was waaaaayyyyy too sweet, and ran over the whole plate into the two sides, making everything super sugary and nearly inedible. I've heard other stuff on the menu is really good, but I have yet to try.
I’ve been going to this restaurant for years and it had always been good, but our last few visits were really disappointing. My husband and I both ordered the chicken and it was horribly over cooked, basically jerky. Our waiter was really nice and gave us one of our dinners for free. The time before that we were with a group celebrating an anniversary and our waiter was awful, rude and uninterested in helping us. I suspect they’ve had some turn over and the high quality they used to have has slipped a bit. They are no longer worth the cost.
Just enjoyed a lunch here. Great service, pleasant outdoor seating inside looked great as well, and the food was fantastic. Enjoyed a couple fun and tasty cocktails, as well. Found it well worth the price which wasn't very expensive, either.
Was able to organize a happy hour for my co-workers about 12 of us. They were able to connect me to the events team and setup a few tables for us with only 1 days notice. When organizing a larger group like this, they like to get a few items pre-ordered for the table. Its a great way to have food on the table fast and allows them to have a minimum commitment of what the group is ordering. Great experience and can see us coming here again for another happy hour.
