Lake Theater & Cafe

Great local theatre. Beautiful setting, arguably the most photogenic theatre in the UK. We have seen many productions, all good. Usually a small very versatile cast in a well produced piece. We'll worth a visit, well worth booking. It's how rep theatre used to be, and all the better for that too!

The Keswick theatre is a little jewel by the lake! Brilliant location, and a wonderful venue. The theatre used to be a temporary caravan on wheels, too small to take all the people wanting to see a show. But since the local authority built a proper building for it, it has become one of the best places to visit. We have seen numerous of plays there throughout the last 30 years, and we have never ever been disappointed! The theatre companies which put the shows there have been absolutely fantastic! The acting, the interaction, the talent on stage is remarkable! The incredible One Man Two Governors show and actors from last night surpassed every expectation: their professional acting skills were matched with incredible professional music skills. The comedy was marvellous - the pantomime, the slap-stick, the stage improvisation, the sense of humour, the lines delivery - all was superb and incredibly enjoyable and uplifting! Really well done! A really well mentioned and run venue, with superb quality of performances!

Saw Brief Encounter this week, in the cheap £10 seats on the balcony but comfortable. Just a little lean forward and had an unobstructed view from front row. Fabulous all singing and dancing production. Such talent, could easily watch again.

Lovely small theatre. Good to see it full and well supported. Seats are v comfortable and good views of the stage. Bar good for interval drinks. Lovely staff throughout. Enjoyed the performance and look forward to going back soon.

We saw "the borrowers", i would like to congrats the performers, they were brilliant, so much talent between them!! They make everything right, dance, sing and play different type of instrument. I highly recommend this show!

This was my first visit to the theatre and I was impressed. It is clean and airy and the staff are friendly and helpful. It was a nice experience.

Fantastic Theatre, you always feel like one of the family. Watched a performance of the Borrowers, a magical experience. I thoroughly recommend this Theatre any time of year.

Very very beautiful place for tourists. Local Peoples are enjoying their life in the evening time. I can't forget about this place and this environment

Excellent venue. Can take drinks from the bar to your seats. Would definitely attend again if in the area. Well done too all staff and management. 5 stars.
