Went here after dinner on the main drag. The staff took our order pretty quickly and our drinks came out in around 2 minutes. I got the caramel boba, which was a bit sweet, but good. My family got the silky mango and the taro lover drinks. The taro was bland and not my favorite, but the mango was really good in my opinion. Overall, a pretty good boba place. 4/5 stars!
Overly sweet for my taste, but it’a really good option if you mix their boba drink with a can of Spindrift you sneak in. I requested 50% sugar, but I think the premix they use is fairly heavy on sugar. Otherwise, ingredients seemEd to be decent and the visual appearance of their drinks is over the top. I thought it was interesting that they used what appears to be an espresso machine to brew tea for each drink - no slow brewing in large pots here. It was nice to see a couple of earnest high school kids working a real summer job in the shop like most of us not from the Bay Area had to do growing up. Given its Mountain View, maybe these kids owned the boba shop and were doing UX research, but I like to think they were hard working young lads learning the value of dollar instead of interning at a high brow tech company.
I am a big fan of the Liquid Gold here! A little watered down compared to other locations, but still pretty yummy. There's lots of boba shops in the DTMV area, but this definitely a decent option. It's located inside 3 Kingdoms Hot Pot. My drink recommendations: + House Milk Tea + Silky Mango + Liquid Gold with Egg Pudding + Creamy Jasmine
great standard teaspoon location! wasy to miss since it shares an entrance with the hot pot place. i often get the jasmine milk tea with lychee jelly and light sweetness which is refreshing and not too strong. *sip* they also have new drinks out all the time that i try as well. downtown parking is free and easy especially during non-peak hours.
I got a newer drink, black sugar assam. It was somewhat bitter, perhaps because I was there late in the day. The boba was a good texture. Overall, it wasn't worth the pretty high price. The decaf options at Teaspoon are limited, particularly if you don't want a fruit drink. Service was friendly.
Great tea and service! I ordered a passion fruit tea with boba and it was delicious.
Great boba chain, but this location is a little lacking. They were out of paradise lime and they didn’t seal their lids for their hot drinks. I really enjoyed their Jasmine tea, but it took 10-15 mins for them to make it. 4.5/5 Boba 3.5/5 Service 4.5/5 Location
My favorite boba place on Castro! Really fun flavors, and the orders come out quick. Downside is one of our favorites mango funtime usually ends up being out of stock in the winter, which makes sense given the season.
Meh drink with meh service. Do not recommend. Got the taro and it tastes exactly as if I got the taro powder from Hmart. Also, ordered the drink, and got no taro chunks! Was never told ahead of time, and when I approached the counter to inquired all the server said was "you wanted taro chunks? We're all out." Didn't try to make up for it or anything. For reference, the drink is advertised as two things: taro milk and taro chunks.
The kids ready love this place. It's not fancy but it is good and consistent. The service is fast and friendly. Lots of sugar
