Tekka hand roll bar is located in Block 16 food hall inside cosmopolitan. There are about 4 other eateries. We just walked right up to the bar and ordered. Normally other food halls are ordered from a kiosk. But I didn’t see it here, but also with hand rolls, it’s made to order. We ordered the high roller that came with a set of 5 salmon, yellowtail, scallops, blue crab, spicy tuna. Then ordered our favorites: an extra salmon, spicy tuna as well as toro. We shared 8 rolls as a snack. Hand rolls are meant to be eaten within a few seconds when the nori is still crispy. They even gave us a knife to cut in half. It cut beautifully when still crispy. You must order the dipping sauce that comes with yozukoshu and Tekka spicy. Goes with everything. After we ate here, we went to Temaki Hand Roll inside Aria at Proper Eats Food Hall. The menu looks almost identical and design. Tekka is cheaper by a few bucks. Eatery doesn’t seem to be related and has different chefs. Although the casinos are related which probably explains the similarities in marketing.
Food Hall for the win. Tekka is small but mighty in flavor. I tried 2 hand rolls. The blue crab and North Atlantic Lobster were palate pleasing. Of course I was looking for sushi. The rolls have the seafood salad inside surrounded by sushi rice and wrapped in seaweed. It was good. These rolls were $9.5 & $10 respectively. I recommend it! Each roll is made to order when you are ready and comes with fresh wasabi.
Very good hand rolls made to order from a limited menu. Attention to detail with the warm rice, cold fish and paper in lieu of plate all whilst sat at a bar. Service indifferent and atmosphere of being in a lobby. Was it good value? No Do I recommend going? No Will I go again? No Price point: $$
Man, I’ve been sleeping on this place for a long time! As a local, I try to avoid the Strip as much as I possibly can. After I visited Tekka Bar for the first time this weekend, I might be willing to brave strip traffic at least once a week for this joint. We came in before a show at the Chelsea on a Friday night at 6:30 and the bar was full. We were asked to wait in line for the next available seats and waited no more than 5 minutes to get seated. Our server she didn’t have a name tag was very friendly and super attentive. She apologized multiple times for stuff that wasn’t really an issue, like us waiting in line for less than 5 minutes. We already knew what we wanted before we sat down so we ordered right away. I got the high roller and the wife got 3 individual hand rolls yellowtail, bay scallops, and blue crab. To drink, I had the Junmai sake on tap. Everything here was excellent, from the service to the food, to the ambiance. I’ve been to a couple of other off-Strip handroll places and I have to say, this is the best one I have been to in Vegas so far. Also, it’s reasonably priced considering it’s on the Strip. That new place at the Sundry/Uncommons should take notes from this place.
Has become my go to sushi spot when visiting LasVegas. Fantastic hand rolls. Limited menu but what they do they do really well! You can’t go wrong with any of them. It’s bar seating in the “night market” food court area of the Cosmo but the staff goes out of their way to find seating for everyone. Absolutely try it if you’re in the Cosmopolitan or nearby.
Excellent hand rolls with an acceptable selection of sake. This is an island restaurant, so it's smaller and more intimate while also having a bustling mall type atmosphere around it. The chef is fast and efficient. With a full bar, I waited less than a minute with no food in hand. The sake on tap is tasty enough and the peach jelly sake was an excellent desert. Vegetarian options: They have vegetable rolls, but most of them are fish or seafood. Your selection is limited if you don't eat fish
Soooo good!!!! No seriously, I usually eat AYCE sushi so this of course running miles around that. super fresh and tasty and the vibe in cosmo is I got the Tekka 16 piece take out with Salmon and Big Eye tuna. They come with some yummy sauces idk the name, and also typical soy sauce wasabi ginger combo. Worth the price, filling and ate in the comfort of my hotel room!
Nice little sushi restaurant. Ordered a salmon roll and lump blue crab roll, both were fresh and delicious. Great packaging, included everything you needed to enjoy your lunch. Fast, friendly service.
We got the takeout roll box. It was all pretty good, especially the blue crab! Our favourite from the ones we chose. I found it interesting that the rolls were rolled from a machine and not an actual chef. I just didn’t give it 5 stars because I found it a bit pricy! But it was good quality.Food: 4/5
When you want a quick lunch that’s overall health, made with fresh ingredients and fast, then Tekka Bar is the a must. Servers are super friendly and all the hand rolls were yummy. I loved the salmon, spicy tuna and lobster.
