Tennessee College of Applied Technology Livingston

Being an area CNC Manager I have tried several entry level Machine Tool Technology candidates from the Livingston center and I would really like to know what governing body the Tennessee Department of Regents has over the curriculum and requirements for graduation from this course. I have requested the "best you have to offer" candidates while running the department at two different companies with extremely disappointing results. When the best they have to offer cant square a piece of stock or know how to use simple machinist tools like an edge finder or a test indicator at the time of graduation tells me either the curriculum is a complete joke or the teacher is not being held accountable for what these students are required to know before getting their diploma. I have acquired good hires from other Tennessee Technology centers in the past so unless the curriculum has changed there is a severe short fall somewhere that the agency providing the Federal grant money for these students education needs to check into.
