Tennessee College of Applied Technology-McMinnville

I'm currently taking industrial electricity. A lot of the same training methods utilized here are the same methods I used during AIT in the Army. Such as the Nida system. So far the staff has been more than willing to assist me in anything I've needed from books to financial aid. And my instructor has been more than willing to help me progress and learn. But this is one of those places that you only get out of this what you put into it. And as someone that did not grow up in this town or the state. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know the individuals of this community. The staff and students have all been more than welcoming and supportive. I would recommend this school from my personal experiences.

If I could, it wouldn't get any stars. This facility cheated and robbed me of my education. All of the nursing instructors have no education as instructors and make that clear. Also make it clear they aren't paid enough for what they do. If you aren't from that tiny town and know no one, you are no one. They treated me terrible my entire time their and cheated me on a test that I answered correctly and failed me out. I am filing multiple complaints. The staff are very unprofessional and talk about your business with the student they befriend. They humiliate you in class and talk to you as if your a child (unless you're a teacher's pet) the dean so far seems to want to help me and has been unaware of a lot of the problems I've experienced here. I am devastated. In my 10 yrs of college prior to this, this has been the worst experience of my life. This isnt college. The tests are not in professional college format. They are always numbered wrong or mixed up and you are required to fix it. If there's an issue the instructors won't attempt to look or help. They were lazy and admitted underpaid. My entire time there was spent sitting at a desk teaching myself. Rarely ever saw the instructor but she was quick to give you her piece of mind. This truly has been the worst devastating experience of my life and I have a lot of students willing to stand behind me. How can they be so careless and unprofessional with my future?! Its NOT okay and this will be pushed as far as it possibly can be. I will take this public if it doesnt get resolved. As of now, I have some faith in that facilities dean to fix a lot of things that have went on there and things or really done to me. Unless you live in the area and are able to be good friends with a very unskilled and unprofessional instructor, DO NOT GO HERE! IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE! so much favoritism. Its absolutely disgusting how these people can sleep at night knowing they had peoples futures in their hands and stole it from them.
