Thayer's Historic Bed n' Breakfast

This is a cozy romantic place. It is a historic bed and breakfast in Annandale MN. I went here for a school field trip over 25 years ago. It was closed down for some time bit reopened for business at this time. There is a food and bar. A few two person tables for outdoor seating. Various 4 and 2 person tables inside. This is not a fast food place. The menu is cheeseburgers and chicken strips to shrimp pasta. If your passing through its worth the stop and possibly spend the night.

We visited the Thayer 2 times since their opening. 1st Time was right after they opened, service was good and the food was average. So we waited a little while and tried it again. The mushroom appetizer is good but sloppy. The Olive burger is just a burger with olives cut in half thrown on it. The French fries looked old and could have been cooked longer. The decor is nice but the food will need to improve for us to be back.

Food was worth the money. You get a lot of food for your dollar. The steak i had was cooked perfectly. I would definitely go and be back again, especially on tuesdays for 2 for 1 on bottled beer.

Just enjoyed dinner at the new restaurant last night. The menu is pleasingly extensive and diverse. The food was impeccable. The service was great. All the employees were kind and smiling. Annandale has always needed a high-end dinner establishment and fortunately, the decor, the service and the food is high scale but the prices are not. Well done Thayers owners and staff!
