I absolutely love this place!!! Aside from the amazing fudge, the cool active kitchen downstairs, the window overlooking the beautiful river, and all the handmade candy, there is the kids candy room! Have you always wished for a favorite candy that you had as a kid that you just thought wasn't in production any longer? The Alps has it!
But, that isn't all The Alps has to offer. There are all sorts of barbecue sauces, honey, hot sauces, dressings, the syrups, and, oh, the list goes on and on!!!
This is a long established, family owned business. The Alps has not only survived, but thrived over the decades. It has even lasted through a fire that destroyed the store and many of the family recipes which had to be reproduced from memory. It's hard to believe you could spend over an hour in a candy shop, but this is SO much more than candy. This is an amazing place that you shouldn't miss on Highway 2!

The Rootbeer fudge was my personal favorite. Talked to one of the owners for a bit about the history of the store, after the fire they did a great job of rebuilding. There are more products here than one could list, 300 of which they make themselves downstairs in their kitchen. We will definitely be coming back for some sweets and delicious sauces

This place is a must if you're going over the pass. There is an assortment of different candies, taffy, chocolates, fudges, and even hot sauces. I can't wait to make another trip back to get some of their caramel puffs.
