Go. Go. Go. I've seen amazing shows, & good shows but I've never once been disappointed here. Very intimate sized venue. Seems like every night there, an audience member says something out loud during the performance... & the performer hears them & responds! I love the easy, comfortable exchange. Live music almost every night of the year, all well performed & enjoyable, so all you really have to do is pick a genre you enjoy to find a great show.

A venerable venue that both finds and presents new and traditional music that is local from around the world. Started from a living room ages ago and morphing as necessary to keep these ideals alive. It is a stage that many musicians would be proud to add to their tour.
Quirky liquor license requires membership to buy alcohol. You can buy a cheap membership, which you can view a donation to a worthy cause.

A smaller venue for shows but provides a more personal experience. Great for seeing lesser known bands. Relatively easy to find, very friendly staff and had a bar. Made for a very nice date night out.

Easily one of the nicest things about Ann Arbor is The Ark! This venue for watching music is second to none. It is a relatively small space (350ish seats), so it feels intimate. The bar has a great selection of snacks, coffee and drinks. The acoustics have never failed me. The staff are a lovely group of volunteers who welcome everyone with smiling faces. Really, go to a show here once and you're hooked.

An Ann Arbor mainstay has been made even better with their new renovations! Music playing almost every night of the year with bands that will make you respect the craft. Volunteers are awesome, as well. One of my favorite venues!
