This school don't even deserve a star! I know from my experience that this AI is a total scam which is why I chose to leave in 2011. Manipulating innocent potential artists into thinking they're getting the best but what they're really doing is telling you lies while taking a tremendous amount of your money giving you absolutely nothing in return. No financial aid, no grants, no equipped package of supplies and most of all no excellent education, they even go as far as to cover their dirt by hiding their bad reviews on their FB from time to time so people that are interested in going to their private art school won't see them. I even heard that employers think these Art Institutes are a joke when they see it on resumes, that pretty much proves that they are not real schools need I say more. To make matters worse the staff act like they have molasses up their asses, they are not professional at all, some of the tutors are rude, impatient and not trained properly, items were always getting stolen including some of mine, this shows you what trashy hoodlums go here, the instructors either callously lose or throw away your artwork that you worked hard on, their sorry events were unorganized having no creative direction oh and don't even bother to complain the school won't even lift a finger to help you. Now I can't speak on the other majors but I do know this each one had some bullish instructors especially in the fashion design program which is what I signed up for, yeah that was a big mistake. The fashion design instructors were cruel, judgy and demented accept for my advanced fashion illustration instructor and my surface design instructor, they were awesome.Going back to the bad apples let me start off by saying their teaching methods were horrific rushing through the lectures, being lazy assuming the students already have certain skills and expecting the students in their crappy classes to pick up what they sped and taught lickety-split, I'm sorry some people don't learn that way you can't teach someone through bullying. They also talk trash making fun of the students they don't care much for behind they're backs, trust me I know they did it to me. They favored certain ones too like this one little Harry Potter obsessed snob who treated me like an imbecile but SHE was actually the one that was an imbecile. One way I would describe her is you know how the little girl on the original Les Miserables poster look well miserable she looked exactly like that miserable, the poor thing look like she was in need of warmth, food and love. She was favored the most then she came in first place twice winning a couple of their lame competitions for making these basic dresses that were dreary as hell in 2010, which didn't help it just made her more arrogant, her designs weren't even all that they were variations of what I seen other designers do, how boring is that! She showed me that ignorance and superiority is still alive and well. Then there were mean girls that thought I didn't belong there, that was a living hell. Where was the director you ask? Due to her flakiness she was hardly ever around, she handled the program terribly and the only names she remembered were the ones that were always in her face like the nasty Zoe Kravitz wannabe queen bee, her friend who I already mention the snob princess who is the Caucasian version of her, Cher and Dionne I like to call them, wait scratch that Cher and Dionne were nice and actual trendsetters. Then there was the few that paraded around like stars dominating the fashion design department. Dealing with all this I learned that this school see you as a dollar sign nothing more and is that a school you want to go to? The only good thing I got from AI is the friends I made, among the ignorant, high, aggressive, immature, harsh, disrespectful, obnoxious, off-turning, unemotional, hipster weirdos that made up half the campus I was grateful to have found some kind people. Overall, the best advice I could give to anyone considering going to this Art Institute is stay far away, far far away.

Just graduated with my BA in audio production, It worked out for me, I grew as an artist being around other artists constantly. Yes its expensive but if you put in the work you'll have a career to pay it off.

Not going to lie it is very amazing to be in an environment where you are around peers who have the same common interest as you. As we all signed up we signed up not having a guaranteed job set for us we have to earn it in which ever field we choose to venture off in. Education is here with some hit n miss teachers along the way, some teachers absolutely making you love your passion even more and some who are here for the motions and not caring for the students. its like another school, what you choose to do after is on you they are paving the way and handing us the education to set in the same course our teachers ventured off in. I would enjoy if everything is set to par and everything is fully kept up due to I am paying a huge amount for a investment in my art I would like for that to be respected as much as you guys make it seem, Studios aren't fully functional and jesus and Luis can only do soo much to keep the equipment up. Computers are out of data and run terribly slow.
