Beautiful library! Much of the furniture is originally from the 1800s. The staff is knowledgeable. It is a hidden gem off Washington Square.
I'm an artist and have used their digital scanning service. The work is placed face up on a large 4'x8' bed with a vacuum surface that keeps the work flat while it slowly rolls underneath a wide format camera. They give you your scan on a disc and save a backup. This is great for some type of artwork. Some adjustments in Photoshop are needed. A scan costs $100 but you can scan multiple images in one scan and if you join their organization you receive 25% off. Great for some art but not necessarily for everything.
What a beautiful place to visit the architectural work is unbelievable. Very safe for All families. They are keeping up with all the covid-19 regulations. Keep up the good work enjoyed my visit five stars all the way thank you Philadelphia
This is an active library! It's driven by its members, which its elite/affluent roots also worked to drive. Visiting it is free, and there are a lot of curious and wondrous artifacts throughout the place.
Interesting. Was hoping for a better special exhibit, but timing not right
Small as far as museums go but a very varied collection. Well worth checking out.
Beautiful building. Quiet place to study for members.
Great events. Excellent resource for architecture.
Beautiful--both outside and inside.
