First time there food was great had an app and the Crab ragoon burger.. it was a diffrent set up and if I knew how it worked going in it would have been a different experience. You have to order on your phone and get your own condiments and silverware and toss your own trash..there was no one to greet you so if you don't know this before hand it was difficult to figure out..
Food was okay, Brussel sprouts are good. Service was poor. Took way to long for drinks. Only saw 3 employees. You have to order via phone so no service at all. None of our special requests with food was taken care of. Would not recommendFood: 4/5
I'm at a loss for words. Pictured below is a REAL Cuban sandwich. The other a total disaster. Guys. You didn't use Cuban bread you could have ordered from tampa Florida. You didn't butter the top and bottom of the buns. You didn't press the sandwich till it cooked through. And don't get me started on how everything is self serve in ur restaurant. My response to mgrs response. Buy a sandwich press and the right bread and do it right. A midwest spin on this famous sandwich is an insult. Make it right or take it off the menu. Leave it to an iowan to screw up food everytime.
Top notch service. Brody the bartender is great and remembers your "usual" order after visiting a couple times. This is mine and my coworkers go to trivia spot on Tuesdays!Food: 5/5
The food was good enough, especially given the cost. It is self-service and the ordering system is an App. The beer selection was very poor and it is named Beerhouse! No description on the craft beers and no waiter to describe them. App defaulted to an 18% tip, but you don't actually have service just someone drops off items when you order. If you are looking for a restaurant meal, with a server, you do not find it here.
Chose not to use my phone to order. Did not want to have to set up an account to order food. Got the young man’s attention at the bar where we were setting and he gave us paper menus, asked my husband what he would like to drink, gave him his beer and walked away. No offer of a beverage for me Decided what we wanted, waited and waited, finally asked if he was going to take our order, he did along with my drink order. Food showed up quickly and very good, had to leave hot food and walk to other side of restaurant to get napkins. Enjoyed food. Young man asks “you done” we said yes, he clears the baskets and leaves. During the 10-15 minutes he was gone we were discussing how many people walk out without paying with zero amount of customer service that is offered. At the same time we overheard them talking about someone had left without paying. Finally, the other bartender came by and we asked for our check. Hopefully, they are paid a living wage, because they certainly aren’t going to get any tips for quality service.
Food is ok but hate the format. You HAVE to order from an app, total pain. Everything is self serve otherwise and as I said the food is average at best. I've read the reviews and understand the worker shortage, BUT this is not the answer.
As travelers passing through the area, we chose The Beerhouse for its proximity to our hotel, and because the menu selections looked good. We weren't prepared for the nearly contactless service, though. As 1st-time customers, using a QR code and scrolling and scrolling, and scrolling to read the menu made ordering difficult. The food arrived promptly and was good, but no one ever asked if we needed anything. Everything was dependent on the digital menu. It seemed like the only way to get a question answered was to go to the bar. If I lived in the area, I'm not sure I would return.
Interesting concept. No waiters, no counter. Order with an app, they bring food/ drinks to table. Everything else is self service. Would be great place to gather and hang out with friends. My gyro pizza was OK, hubbies nachos were delicious, great picoFood: 4/5
Very good food. Only thing that made me scratch my head is why they ask for a tip? You do your own orders on your phone, you get your own drinks unless your getting alcohol which we didn’t so what besides bringing me my food did you do for a tip? And the waiter didn’t even bring us our food lol. Other than that, cool place.
