The Big Rip Brewing Company

The Mrs. and I stopped here for beer and lunch on our way through Kansas City area. It is located in an industrial area which gave us a weird vibe that we were lost but very easy to find. The tap room was good sized and well laid out. The beer was delicious as we did a flight to try as much as we could. Having Hawg Jaw Que and Brew next door was amazing also, we just ordered online and walked over and picked it up to avoid having to stand in line. Highly recommend for craft beer lovers if in the North KC area!

didn’t like the beer or atmosphere. There’s just something wrong with the flavor of three beers I tried. Atmosphere could be great, but the 49 yard cob webs, overflowing recycling bin clearly holding garbage, and two day old popcorn need to to be fixed at a minimum. Something tells me the lack of attention to these details speaks to thenoff flavor in the beer.

Cool little joint. Had never explored the NKC area so figured we'd check it out. Did a couple flights to get a good sampling. Flagships are good. Mint chocolate stout and Cinnamon roll porter were different...but delicious.

If you're in this area, there's no comparison between here and the Cinder Block. Much better service! As far as the beer, they had about a dozen beers on tap, displayed on a screen you could actually read clearly. The amber was delicious. They don't serve food here but they have popcorn you can help yourself to and you can bring in your own food if you want to.
