The Body Image Therapy Center

It’s been about a year since I left TBITC but I often think about how much this place positively impacted my life. I used to wake up in constant turmoil into what I later learned was an eating disorder and not just body image issues. Kim was my therapist and she was amazing. Reanne, along with the rest of the staff really genuinely care about your journey. They take insurance and made it affordable for me to use their services. In group there were people of all ages and genders and the support really helped me get through one of the toughest moments in my life. I often have a chance to use what I learned during my time there and am in a much better place in my life for it.

This is life changing. I had no idea how much my eating disorder took over my life and made it harder until participating in IOP here. I've learned so much. How to be grateful for my eating disorder for how it has served me through my life so far. How to work toward bidding it farewell. How to be better at communication. How to feel my feelings like I feel weather. How to cope. And of course, how to eat intuitively. I am not quite recovered, but certain now that I can and will recover. I already feel more than a hint of that freedom. I could not have done this without The Body Image Recovery Center. At intake, Andrew made me feel comfortable and good about signing up. Kim and Reanne have been teaching, guiding and supporting me with their expertise and incredible compassion. Everyone on staff is amazing. And the food is truly an experience. Like eating out every night! Chef Robert rocks! If you're thinking of getting help, I say call the center. Try. Take the first step. TBIRC was the right place for me to get to where I so badly wanted to be.

Their work still speaks volumes today throughout my life. I respect my body, my mind, my boundaries, and time. I think fondly on their team often. A big thank you to my therapist and nutritionist who guided me to amazing breakthroughs and success thank you bitc!
