Beautiful and trendy hotel. The unique detail and artwork throughout the property evokes exploration! Excellent customer service from the front desk and restaurant. Comfy beds, impeccably clean rooms and a fantastic spacious gym. Stayed for a three day get away with a friend and loved the area. Close to shops and restaurants and only a quick Uber to all the major downtown Scottsdale attractions. Big thank you to Ryan and Leanna at the front desk for taking care of us.
What a nice place to stay friendly service close to the downtown area and aesthetically pleasing. The rooms were very clean every day during our stay and easy access to restaurants and shopping right across the street. There is handicap access restaurant and bar available and highly recommend the Camby hotel.
We came to stay at the Camby for a gala/charity event. Jared at the valet was incredible. Thank you Jared. The reception was quite cold, however, i was grateful to get into my room early to get settled in. Tried to get champagne glasses at the bar. That was impossible, well if i wanted to wait 30 minutes, I’m sure that could’ve been accomplished. I have a 15 minute wait rule…i chose to use wine glasses. The bartender was busy with a few customers in the bar and a few in the dining room. I think she should be reviewed as a bartender. Whatever, that’s fine. Our event was in one of the ballrooms. HOLY COW! What amazing service! The bartenders were never overwhelmed literally service with a smile. The food was excellent! Where can you go where there are a couple hundred people, and your steak is seasoned to perfection, a perfect medium rare, and your veggies aren’t disgusting and limp?! My daughter had the salmon…again, perfection! The servers were also awesome. The cleanliness of the table after dinner was great! Ok, so we had a credit that we planned on using the next morning in the bar, and watch Detroit/Dallas football. Let’s just say, sticking with my 15 minute rule, it was an epic fail. Asked 3 people to change the station, as no one cared as I asked before asking for the channel to be changed, that never happened. Never spoken to until we left. We couldn’t even touch the bar because it was so sticky and dirty. My daughter and I were 2/6 sitting at the bar. Again, bartender incredibly overwhelmed. She has no idea how to multi task, nor any customer service skills. My credit was wasted!the bartender did tell us to have a nice day after 15 minutes of not acknowledging us. Back to Jared…he had gotten my car and loaded it up, prior to our bar/breakfast fiasco. OH! The bartender at the pool bar was great. Taking care of several customers at once!
Stayed here for a girls trip and it was amazing! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Kind staff. Efficient valet and was a great location to the various activities around Phoenix and Scottsdale. Drinks at the bar were good but restaurant food was mediocre.
It wasn’t memorable. They said the pool was heated and it was not. We let them know everyday and they said it would be turned on. It never was. The hotel it seems has never been updated since it changed over from the ritz. We had no handle on our bathroom shower door. There was black mold in the shower fan. Paint peeling off the bathroom door. Also they only left us only two towels each day. I use both as a woman and we didn’t have enough. The food was very mediocre and one of the breakfast bowls was so gross we had to send it back. I had to alert staff there was broken glass on the floor in the restaurant that no one seemed to pick up. We will never be staying there ever again!!!
The room and hotel was great, I got it on hotwire for about 137 dollars. Upon checkout, the ended up charging me 209 more dollars. $35 for overnight parking sure, I'll pay that, $25 for a "destination fee" not sure what that means but okay, and $125 for a "resort fee". With taxes, came out to $209. Look, I understand paying some extra resort fees, but more than doubling my original bill for the room? Highway robbery. And not even letting me know upon check-in? Using my deposit thats meant to be for incidentals? Won't be staying there again. Left a really bad taste in my mouth.
What a great spot! The rooms are well appointed and the view from mine was of Camelback. Friendly staff and good bar/coffee/food all around. Will be back!
Giving it one star for the nice valet guy who said hello. Otherwise, I'd give it no stars. I just got here, and I have been waiting over an hour to check into my room. I was told my room is being cleaned. However, I've seen numerous Marriott Elite members get checked in. Also, there is no business center, so I am unable to print documents for my meeting. Finally, to top it off, I went to get a bottle of water and it was $4.50!! This place is a serious let down and I haven't even gotten into my room!!
The organization that I am a part of has now hosted 3 events at the Camby Hotel and it has gone off flawlessly. They know exactly what they are doing, are very professional, and made our event so easy to put on!
