All I can say is that The Chateau is the best. From the moment my aunt came in, she was treated with dignity and respect. She was shown compassion and was clearly cared for everyday. The team at the facility was truly remarkable every step of the way. In rehab, the therapists were patient yet encouraging, which is what my aunt needed. The nursing team was always at the top of their game. The social work and concierge team was the best part of the facility. They were always there whenever we needed them. They took care of an issue before it even came up, it’s like they saw the future! All I can say is that The Chateau is amazing!!
My mom was transferred to the chateau on November 2nd, 2022 and died there on November 8th, 2022. On the day of her death I watched her struggle to take her last breathes as 2 nurses/nurses aides debated with me about her ability to breathe due to the 'new oxygen machine' she was put on, which was NOT helping her. They were slow to respond with resuscitation and only began taking the situation seriously when she became non responsive. She had COPD & needed to be on oxygen pretty much all the time. Her levels would drop to 40 & 50% BOC so when a nurse is telling me that she's fine without oxygen you have to question the ability of the staff to take care of your loved one. My Mom also developed Pneumonia while staying here which did not help the situation. 2 nurses in particular WERE NOT VERY KIND during her stay, maybe because we weren't Caribbean as most of the staff there is. Yarron the 'Social Worker' is useless and reminds me of a used car salesman; talks fast & a lot, doesn't listen very well and never returns phone calls! Yakkov was responsive but was limited with help since he is just an administrator. You will NEVER meet the Doctor which you are told from the beginning! Trying to get information on her care & what Meds she was being given was like pulling teeth. Nurses would come in, see me or my brother sitting there and when we asked questions about what they were doing acted as if we were bothering them. I received My Mom's care plan & list of Meds she was being given THE DAY BEFORE SHE PASSED AWAY! The only people that were kind were the acting Nurse Manager Ms. Young and Denise the front desk receptionist. The general staff was welcoming at first but that quickly faded. The Facility is Jewish owned so if you need to speak to anyone in an emergency on Friday's or Saturdays you are out of luck! After My Mom passed I was harassed for the next 8 -12 hours about when I was having her body picked up. I left the Chateau at 8:39 pm Tuesday and I received my first call at 6:54 am Wednesday from none other than Yarron, asking if I had decided on a Funeral Home to pick up her body. EXTREMELY INCONSIDERATE, TACKY & IN POOR TASTE! The calls continued over the next 5 hours from a Nurse Manager, an Administrator and ANOTHER Social Worker Mario. 2 calls occurred while I was sitting in the Funeral Directors Office! To make Matters worse The Chateau entered conflicting codes on my Mother's Death Certificate and it was rejected, so now the Coroner had to get involved. And anyone who has ever planned a Funeral knows you need the Death Certificate to proceed with Funeral services, the burial, insurance and other matters for the Deceased. My Experience with the Chateau WAS NOT GOOD and I would recommend anyone thinking of sending their loved one here to seriously re-consider. I read all the good reviews before choosing this place but unfortunately My mother did not get the same treatment as others. SHE LITERALLY DIED IN FRONT OF ME while Nurses responded with NO SENSE OF URGENCY! As far as I'm concerned they helped my Mom die! We buried her last Wednesday November 16th and I'm sharing my story this Thanksgiving Day in hopes that someone else doesn't experience what I have. Advocate for your loved ones even if you think you are being a pest because not all facilities have their best interest at heart. God Bless! Also note; there always seems to be an Ambulance out front of this place, not a good sign! Happened to see this just passing in the neighborhood.
I have been at this facility for a few months and I have nothing but great things to say. The building was spotless. It smelled great. The staff was incredible. The nursing team of Nadine, Julianna, and Washington were outstanding. The administration team of Isaac and Yaakov always went above and beyond to make my experience amazing. Alan from Social work and Yitz the financial coordinator made everything easier. I'm excited to be going home but sad I'm leaving these incredible people. I will definitely be coming back to visit my "second family"
This facility is absolutely amazing. From the administration team to the social workers to the finance department, everyone was incredible. My family member had everything she needed in the facility, plus more. The nursing team of Ms Young, nurse Tanya and Nurse Nadine were terrific. Yaakov, Alan, and Yitz were with my family member and us every step of the way always addressing any potential concern we had. We were so happy we chose The Chateau and if we had to do it again we would in a heartbeat. We LOVE this facility. 10 stars!!!
As a resident in The Chateau one can expect to see smiles and be surrounded by positivity. The staff always go above and beyond to help everyone. The warm and caring staff is what sets this facility apart from any other. Isaac, Yaakov, Lilly, and Gasper truly made a big difference in my life, ensuring I was comfortable every day. The rehab was amazing. The nurses, CNA's, and all the dietary staff were incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The housekeeping team was always at the top of their game. Thank you to everyone who works in this facility for treating me like I was part of The Chateau family. Recommend to all!!
I arrived at The Chateau, for the purpose of visiting one of the patients. This was the first time that I came here.My welcome was one of friendliness, an ambiance of warmth and caring, coupled with very apparent competence and professionalism.I couldn't get over the smiling faces and the very apparent positive dispositions that faced me as soon as I entered the main entrance on the ground floor of this wonderfully well-run rehab center!!! This aura of positivism continued to surround me as I went to see a patient on the second floor. The angel at the reception desk,Roseanne, is a paragon of virtue, caring, and a mistress of many talents and skills. This institution has earned my respect, admiration, and sincere commendation!!!!!!
My mother in law has been there since the end of august. She loves it there so much she asked to stay. The staff give her Excellent care. The family can reach out to the medical staff and office staff and they address any concerns right away. She will be leaving soon to go to an assisted living facility but will always consider the chateau staff as family.
My stay here at The chateau was very pleasant. Everyone worked hard to accommodate my diet. All the staff was very nice and had no complaints. Was super happy with Alan, Yaakov and all the aides and nurses. They made everything better. Will recommend this facility to all!!
My father stayed at this facility for 3 months. I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and great care my father received. I especially want to thank Mario who works in the concierge department and Jay who was my dad’s physical therapist. Both went over and above to make sure my dad’s needs were met. Thank you.
Very Scary place. My family member got an infection in this place only after being there a week due to the lack of wound care. I asked they be moved to the hospital and I was ignored. My family member ended up having a second surgery to clean out the wound. They treat the patients terribly right in front of visitors. I got hung up on many times while being very polite to the staff and calling for an update. The head staff talks to you like they are doing you a favor by being on the phone with you. Thank God for the physical therapists there and a few staff members that do care.
