I have been going to this studio for nearly two years and still feel challenged and pushed! The instructors and staff are lovely, kind humans who are so welcoming and judgement free. I started off with basically only yoga experience, and now feel like a pro in barre and cycle! I love the multiple formats, especially the new Interval classes and Cycle + Yoga! The studio also has everything you need including showers, towels, and toiletries. My absolute favorite part about this studio though is the diversity of instructors and students you rarely see in fitness body types + ages + ethnicities.
I became a member at the Dailey Method about a year and a half ago after trying my first class and haven't looked back since! The studio offers barre, yoga, and cycle classes, providing clients with a well-rounded work out complete with strength training, flexibility/mobility, and cardio elements. All of the classes are focused on alignment and instructors offer lots of modifications to personally tailor classes to each client so that clients can progress safely and effectively. And best of all, all of the instructors and clients are so thoughtful and fun, making TDM such a great environment to be in. So glad I found this wonderful place!
The Dailey Method is a great barre and cycle studio! I've been a member since they opened and love the classes and teachers. The barre classes are a great workout and I always leave in a good mood. Everyone at the studio is extremely friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend!
I've definitely enjoyed my TDM membership. The studio is super stylish and clean. The instructors always give great cues and guidance. They even lay out and put away all the mats and equipment for you. Using their app is a breeze, and the roster of classes constantly evolves so you never get bored. All around a great place for spin/barre/yoga!
A lovely barre, cycle and yoga studio that is always kept clean and cheerful with plants and decorations - very millenial chic! The barre classes are consistently good and really build your strength over time. The instructors are always upbeat and encouraging, while also encouraging you to go at your own pace and listen to your body. Great location at U & 12th within easy walking distance of all the amenities.
I would highly recommend The Dailey Method! I enjoy the workouts so much that I have attended classes at other TDM locations when I travel outside of DC. The U Street location is really close to the U Street metro and the earliest post-work class they have is 5:45pm which is so convenient when I am trying to get a workout in before I get lazy at home. I mainly do the Barre classes of which they have a few different iterations but the cycle and yoga are great too. I like going to the themed classes every month whether its Beyonce, T-Swift, or whatever singer the teacher feels like celebrating. It's always a good time and there is a lot of comradery in the classes. The studio is clean, there are multiple bathrooms/showers, a good array of apparel options for purchase and the classes accommodate a large number of students so its rare to get locked out/waitlisted for a class. Everyone should give this place a try. If you can get a class with Crysten the owner even better, her class is always a great workout!
The Dailey Method is my favorite exercise studio in D.C! Their classes are fantastic and better than any I have attended at local gyms and other fitness chains. The staff is extremely involved and caring, remembering each client by name and doing whatever is necessary to ensure that anyone who attends the studio has a positive experience. In addition, TDM is a great partner in the community. I have attended multiple community classes they have hosted to raise money for cancer research. TDM is also a great workplace partner and has worked with my company, among others, to better engage employees in wellness initiatives. I highly recommend partnering with The Dailey Method or attending one of their classes!
I love the Dailey Method! I've been a member for about a year now and can't imagine what I'd do without it. I don't know of any other studios that offer barre, cycle and yoga in one package. The instructors are all super friendly and helpful. The workouts are challenging in the best way, and the overall vibe is laid back and fun.
The Dailey Method is my favorite gym in the city. Their mix of barre and cycle provides an excellent mix of strength training and cardio. Their skillful instructors and class structure helped me recondition after an injury. And their focus on functional fitness translates to a wide variety of other activities—including climbing, scuba and trapeze—so I feel ready for whatever I want to try next.
DC can be annoyingly competitive and exclusive, especially when it comes to fitness. I started coming to the Dailey Method DC two years ago and have never felt that sometimes off-putting DC-y vibe. I appreciate TDMDC's super unassuming environment, and it's really refreshing to be part of a community-centered, inclusive studio. Workouts are concentrated and challenging, but personalized enough that I am in control of my own workout. I loved it so much, I became a cycle instructor and am hooked!
