The Dairy Visitor Center and Gift Shop

A picturesque building in a beautiful park. Good view of park from this location. Friendly staff with freely offered tourist information. I like this location in the park because it is away from the buzz of traffic.

Beautiful historic building, nice place to rest or take shelter from the elements. Gift shop is what you'd expect. Also a great place to birdwatch.

I had a lovely conversation today here with the lady who works the desk on Friday. The little store has maps, books on the park, t-shirts, sweatshirts, memoralabilia, etc. It is a pleasant atmosphere and helpful resource.

I was very disappointed in their customer service yesterday. I asked if there was any place I could possibly charge my cell phone as I needed to stay in touch with my husband who has Alzheimer's. I am always in fear that we would be separated and Central Park is huge!! I was abruptly told no and no recommendation or assistance was offered. Shortly thereafter I came upon the Gift Shop near the Zoo and the lovely, lovely girl did not hesitate. She pushed some clothing aside and allowed me to use an outlet on the wall. There were even stools nearby. Thank you Kimesha. Thumbs down to the older woman at the Dairy Visitor Center.
