The Egyptian Theatre

They have an interesting copy of an old local newspaper from the past (bootleggers!). Good write-up of historical significance. Enjoyed learning about the decorations. Nice ambience. Our most recent visit was for a chamber music presentation of "A Soldier's Tale" by the Boise Phil/BSU members. Everyone should go check out The Egyptian Theater!

Boise's oldest and most beautiful theater. We're lucky it's still a part of our city. It's our Fillmore, our Roxy.

What a beautiful theatre! Absolutely amazing. It was an honor to perform there and a joy to watch Beth Hart perform there as well.

The Egyptian is a fun place to see shows, movies (visit Boise Classic Movies), and other acts. I've been here several times. Since it's in the heart of downtown, it's easy to get a good bite to eat and a drink before your show/event. Inside the venue is nice, too. It's a large venue decorated like the Egyptian Time Period. There isn't a seat in the house that I could consider "bad". The only thing about the Theatre is how small the lobby is. When ordering a drink, it's impossible to get through the crowd and many people often come into the show late-- but what do you do? Get there early, get your drink/snack, and enjoy sitting in your seat taking a load off!
