Story

The Flower Cart, Inc. is a second generation local, Baltimore MD florist that was founded in 1961. Starting with one little shop in Hamilton, we have grown and changed over the years. Our Main Location in Hamilton, and our exclusive location in the lobby of Johns Hopkins Hospital. We have also had years of experience in online sales and continue to provide our customers with award-winning Teleflora wiring services.

We have been serving the Baltimore community for over 50 years and are well known for our services in custom floral design, wedding flowers, sympathy and funeral flowers and daily flower delivery.

All of our floral arrangements are hand designed by real people, talented designers with years of experience. We take pride in our work and guarantee your satisfaction every time.



"The Flower Cart is a family owned florist and plant shop located in Baltimore City, Maryland. Founded in 1961 by Fred and Joy Koletar, The Flower Cart is in its second generation of ownership by Mike and Kerry Koletar. We have served the Baltimore area with our flagship location on Harford Road, as well as the over 30 years located within The Johns Hopkins Hospital. The Flower Cart imports flowers from all over the world, but we are especially proud of our relationship with local flower farms in the Baltimore area and specialize in locally grown product when the season allows. We deliver daily to all Baltimore City neighborhoods and the surrounding counties and we are dedicated to creating beautiful designs and well as happy customers."

I've gotten flowers delivered from here a number of times and the arrangements are always fresh and nice looking. I think they could be a little more full for what they charge but they're always very helpful on the phone and they do a good job arranging the bouquets. Would recommend!

I was very disappointed with my order. I asked for an arrangement for my dear friend in Good Samaratan Hospital. I said her favorite color is blue. A blue vase, a shade of a blue ribbon, some blue flowers like hydrangeas or others would be nice with the white… just no lilies, please, is what I said … This is what I got… drooping white roses? No spring color at all? Too much white! Coming from me and my pocketbook, I paid a lot of money for this for which I am not very pleased. I will call them to discuss. My conversation will depend if I ever buy from The Flower Cart again…. Felt very sad today when my hospital-bound friend texted me this picture… Linda in Maryland
Got the flowers delivered same day, and they were very beautiful and abundant. Exactly what we needed!
I ordered flowers today and knowing that many shops may not have the flowers in the pre-designed arrangements, I chose “Designer’s Choice”. It was the best decision as the florist did a fabulous job!! The recipient loved them!! Great job!!!
