3 star hotel with a five star experience! I was hesitant on our way here as I read some of the reviews below and thought we may need to change our hotel… but upon arrival I was instantly charmed. First off, the hotel is beautiful!! It’s different, the architecture and its style are so historic and original. I loved it. The staff is excellent, truly, even though it was a very busy weekend with football games going on and a Michelle Obama book tour… the location is perfect & we felt safe too. Our room was clean and spacious, we just booked it through my cc points. When we arrived our bed was small so we went back to the front desk and they gave us a bigger bedroom without questions asked. Also, we self parked for $40 per night. The restaurant downstairs is also very good, we enjoyed the food and service there too. Even though they’re obviously understaffed the servers were great. The hotel is older but well kept and friendly. Definitely got our money’s worth. Good job
Recently stayed here and honestly would not book again. Pros - Location was decent with good food and entertainment options nearby. - Room was large, decently appointed, and seemed surface clean. - Beds were comfortable with luxury linens and very nice pillows. - Valet and services staff were kind and very helpful. Cons - We were quoted $30 per night for parking by a booking agent over the phone before we booked our stay. When we went to check out we were charge $50 per night and the front desk staff refused to honor the quoted price we had been given over the phone. We even had the name of the person we spoke with, as well as time/date of our call and their calls are recorded so they should have been able to confirm the validity of our claim. - There was obviously water damage to the entire floor our room was on. There was a slight musty smell to our room and throughout the entire hotel. - The room was advertised with 2 queen sized beds but they were actually full sized beds. - The rooftop pool had dead cockroaches all around it. - It was difficult to regulate the room temperature, it was either hot and muggy or freezing cold. - There was very little water pressure in the shower and no ledge or raised seat. - We had Issues with the toilet clogging for no reason. - One of the windows was also missing a set of blinds.
I had a wonderful stay here for my birthday sleepover with friends! The hotel itself is very charming and decorated very nicely, especially during the holidays. I booked the Signature Three-Bedroom, Two Bathroom Suite for 6 guests. The room was very clean and spacious with a full kitchen, living area, and dining area. The staff was also very friendly and helpful to us throughout our entire stay. The front entrance roundabout is very easily accessible during check in and check out, and valet and self-park options are available as well. This hotel is located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, so there are many different stores, restaurants, and major attractions within close distance making it a very convenient location. I absolutely recommend for anyone looking to stay in the Midtown area!
We had a spacious room with kitchen and large seating area. Hotel has a historic facade in good location but staying on a Saturday was rough. Hotel is understaffed for its size. There is no organized way to get housekeeping- front desk too busy to answer phone and I had to walk down six floors because of slow sometimes non functioning elevators then wait in line to simply request a blanket. I also was treated rudely by housekeeping staff when requesting clean towels. Again was told to call front desk which I knew was basically pointless. I mean I get no housekeeping daily since Covid but they should at minimum offer to pick up room trash and replace linens. Shower water pressure so low water did not even come out at angle- just trickled down. Honestly I was grateful for cool room and hot water because everyone was complaining. This hotel may not have staff to handle pressure if a game day weekend. As we were checking out Monday a woman was out front that had back windshield broken out in garage overnight. The valets seemed to be most efficient group but said lower level parking subject to break ins which made me a little nervous. We are going back in December and I sincerely hope the service is better and some basic issues improved. I love this hotel’s historic structure but it needs help. They could use some type of security staff late in lobby- I felt uneasy at times.
I just left. It’s October 2022 and I’m unsettled by this hotel. There was blood smeared on my walls. My bathroom was filthy. My shower was rusty. My bedding was filthy…all three layers. Bloody brown stains on sheets, blankets, kid’s pink paint on my bed covering. No amenities like water to drink. The furniture was either chipping painted wood and filthy or plastic. The elevator was extremely slow. 5-15 minute waits each way. The stair wells were unlit and looked like horror movie sets. The staff didn’t answer the phones. I spoke with housekeepers who admitted there’s “two different Georgian Terraces” aka some fake old good reviews/images and the current day, run down creep show. No gym. No pool. Chained off emergency exits. Faint cigarette stink in room 402. I was kind but direct with management. No one would take responsibility or admit this was unacceptable. This review is not written out of spite, but to warn you.
We've stayed at the Georgian Terrace Hotel a few times. Our most recent trip was phenomenal. We were able to check in earlier than expected and the staff was so courteous and helpful. The weather was especially cold with the polar vortex that came through town as we visited and so the staff was especially understanding of people trying to get in from the cold. Check in and out was a breeze, the room was fantastic, and the family loved the trip, especially because it wasn't a noisy hotel and we could all sleep soundly. We will definitely come back again in the future!
Years ago I stayed at this hotel, and it was awesome. So much so, I talked about it and even convinced my spouse to stay. We loved our suite; hotel staff was great; the rooftop pool and lounge areas were nice. Our suite was extremely clean. The sheets even smelled like bleach. I will definitely come back.Rooms: 5/5
I'm only giving this place a 4 star due to the service was spot on. All of the staff were very friendly and courteous. The decor of the hotel lobby was very nice. But it was like lipstick on a pig. I'm not sure if all the rooms were as bad as mine but all I could say is that the room could use a little updating and could have been a little cleaner. The appliances were extremely old, the beds which I thought one would be queen and one would be king were both full size beds. The floors were very raggedy. The microwave over the stove didn't work so one was placed in the room off to itself. The refrigerator didn't get cold it just got cool. Luckily we were only there for one night so I didn't complain but I doubt I'll be staying back anytime soon. Rooms: Horrible
This hotel has the potential to be the best around given its history and location to The Fox but in its current state, it is a trashy hotel in need of a major renovation/overhaul. The deadbolt to our room didn't lock, the safe didn't work, the furniture was all warping, the door inside the suite was broken, the body wash and conditioner were empty, the shower was anything less than impressive with very poor pressure, the room phone doesn't reach the front desk and no one apparently works in Housekeeping or Valet, because the phone just rings and rings. We purchased a suite with a king bed and received what appeared to be a full bed though it was very comfortable with fantastic pillows. My husband and I were headed to the Fox for a show and a staycation; it was meant to be a romantic/relaxing experience away from the stress back at home. Upon arrival, we asked for champagne to be sent to the room and the check in staff said they couldn't accommodate that because they are not doing any room service. She then checked with her manager and received approval. It took them an hour and a half to get it to the room. We spent $50 for 1 glass of champagne because we were out of time and had to leave for dinner; as the time kept dragging, we tried to call to cancel it but no one answered the phone and the room phone doesn't go directly to the front desk.... it just goes no where before hanging up on you. The entire hotel is not doing room service and we were not provided any information about check out or breakfast. We went to Edgar's P&P and the drinks were delicious but the atmosphere was okay. It also closes at 11 pm, so when a show on a Saturday night gets out at 11, the hotel offers nothing to accommodate guests for after show drinks, ambiance, or dessert. When we asked the front desk staff for a recommendation on a place to go for a drink/dessert after the show, they directed us to a cigar lounge. Yuck!!! Overall we will go back to The Fox, but will stay at a different hotel far from it.
From valet to check in , so far has been great. Jeremy at the front desk was polite and shared with us some great locations to visit on our stay. He also gave us a great suite on the 6th floor! We’re in town for NYE and looking to have a great time. The bed is really comfortable and overall the rooms is spacious and clean! Would definitely stay again.
