The Goddard School

This school is a NO GO if you care about your child. After seeing the good reputation and the reviews for this place and having a tour in this school we decided to take this place for preschool for our child. Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience here within ONLY 3 days! On the 2nd day she had a scratch under her neck, she told me that a child had hit her and pointed at the child when I picked her up and at the same time she pointed at Ms. G. that this teacher was “angry” at her. The reason why she was angry at her was because of a piece of pizza?! For which my child asked for as it was apparently pizza day and due to lack of communication we weren’t told about. So she let her watch the other kids eating while she was crying for a $1 piece of pizza!!! HOW COLD AS A HUMAN YOU CAN BE TO DO THIS??? Is this a kind of person you trust and want to watch your child? However, I asked the teachers details about what happened and it was denied just with body signs by Ms. G. and the answer to very short and odd by another teacher. On the 3rd day I found her outside the room unsupervised. The staff/teachers did not even know she was not in the room. I came, just by chance on time to pick her up and found her running towards me. After coming back into her room with her I saw the staff having a chat and being surprised that she was not in the room. Bravo!! The safest, trustworthy place to be. Right? I also question the impression of food value they are giving to the children. Throwing away the rest of their lunch, when they do not eat their whole lunchbox. Well, that’s not the place where I want my child. Cancelled after only 3 half day preschool.

Like most new parents, my wife and I were nervous putting our daughter in daycare but we couldn't be happier with Goddard. They made us feel comfortable and welcomed from day one. I like how we get a Daily Report with pictures and I like how prepared they are. My daughter has only been there a short time but I already see her developing! The owner, the staff, and the teachers are truly awesome and I would highly recommend Goddard!

We have been with Goddard for 2 years. My son is now in the Preschool program. Every time he moves up to the next classroom I think this class cant possibly be as good as the last one, but I'm wrong. I think the best parts of the program is the teachers! My son is learning so much at school. He is excited to go to school and can't wait to tell us what he learned that day. I sent an e-mail last night at 10:00 p.m. because we found out last minute we needed to bring our son in for an extra day. Five minutes later I got a return e-mail from the owner telling me it was fine to bring my son. Karen, Marybeth and all the ladies there do a great job!

My 3 year old daughter amazes me ever day with the things she is learning at school. At dinner the other night she bit a chip and said, "Look mom it's a trapezoid." The teachers are wonderful. The Director is amazing. I get pictures and videos sent to my phone through out the day. I couldn't be happier with the education and care my child is getting at The Goddard School.

We've been going to the Goddard School for 3 years now and we love it. Karen the Director is wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable. Her open communication helps us greatly as parents of two busy boys. We are now enrolling our 2nd boy in the infant room because we had such a great experience with Megan. We are so grateful for her kindness and loving, nurturing attention to our boys. It was so emotional on our first day with baby # 2, but Megan reminded us of how our older son adjusted so quickly, and how confident he is now as an older brother (who proudly showed his younger brother his old room- and is trying to teach him sign language that he learned at the Goddard). Actually, "grateful" can hardly express our feelings toward the Goddard. They really are like family. We wouldn't be able to get though a day without them. Director Karen is easy to talk with and Mary Beth managed a small challenge we had quickly and professionally. Thank you Mary Beth for being there on site and creating such a solid environment for us. We highly recommend the Goddard.
