Very nice atmosphere. Found out bowling is open all day! We will definitely be back. Perfect for a quick bite, business meeting, date, meet up. Food was really good as well. Our server was very nice as well.
Food was amazing! Is affordable, drinks a little over what we are used to but their margaritas are great. We had THE best server of all, Javaria R, love her personality, she was so nice helped us pick our food she gave us details of all, even helped us on dessert ! She is so bubbly nice and knowledgeable! You guys gotta hire more people like her! We are definitely coming back! Features: They disinfect and change All from tables before sitting new people
The service was awesome. We had the best waitress. The food was good but for the price I expected it to be great! The atmosphere was amazing. I'd definitely recommend it but it is a little pricey. Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessible for wheelchairs at the top. However, they have a dessert section of the restaurant that is not accessible by wheelchair as it is located downstairs. They do have hand rails for those with other mobility issues.
Service at the bar was a little slow and had 2 different people make an old fashioned and ended up with 2 different drinks. The food was pretty good , had some smoked pork chops with collards. Can't wait to try againFood: 4/5
We found The Grand after stopping into another area restaurant. It's one of the few places open past 10 pm in downtown Columbia. They had live music that was a plus. The strawberry margarita presentation was good but weak for $12. Was recommended the Thai-style Calamari which I ordered and It's not my cup of tea. The full squid is not for me. I'll be visiting The Grand again very soon. Parking: Street or garage parking in downtown
Food was ok and came out quickly. The fried green tomatoes were nasty, but the food pictured was decent. The biggest problem I had is with the staff. Constant confusion about what food goes to which table. Going to each table asking if they ordered a certain item. Several people talking over the food before it gets to you. No one had a mask on. Completely disgusting! For the prices you charge, please do better!!! Doubt I will return though.
Love this place. The atmosphere is perfect for family time during the day and a romantic date at night. It is a little pricey, but well worth it. The food has been outstanding everytime I've gone. We all enjoy the fun angry birds bowling and the couches instead of the hard plastic chairs. The place has been clean everytime I've been there.
The atmosphere downstairs in the dessert bar was cool but the desserts.... absolutely not!! They need to be revisited...change them! Peach pie..no, strawberry rhubarb..no!, bread pudding...no! they were bland in taste but they looked cute!...smh and the drink purple twist something I had was not great as well. But the bartender and server were wonderful.
From the street view, this may look like your average downtown Columbia, SC restaurant, but The GRAND is anything but! We were looking for a great place for lunch on New Years Day and came across this hidden gem via Google reviews. Location: Prime location downtown and within walking distance from shopping, music, dining, and lounges. Not to mention, street parking is right at the entrance. Customer Service: We waited about 4 minutes before being greeted by the hostess and then another 3 mins before she cleaned and prepared a table for us I think the establishment was understaffed Cleanliness: The restaurant was beautifully decorated, draped in gold ascented fixtures, old wooden beams, and stylish barreled upholstered booth. Not only can you enjoy a nice meal but also enjoy a game of bowling and drinks from their well stocked bar. Food: The food was very good. Our waitress was very accommodating and fast. We ordered the quesadilla and cheddar herb biscuits for starters. The quesadillas were full of flavor drizzled with a sweet bbq sauce while the biscuits were nice and crispy on the exterior and moist on the inside. Our entrées were the chicken and waffles and fried shrimp. The shrimp was medium-sized and lightly breaded. The shrimp were served with a homemade ranch dressing that I couldn't get enough of. The waffle fries were seasoned to perfection and fried for the perfect crisp. I loved the shrimp so much that I ordered a second. I would most certainly recommend the Strawberry Margarita. It was very tasty, lightly sweetened, and paired perfectly with my meal. Don’t let appearances fool you—the decor may be a little fancy, but food and staff take the prize. This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. After your meal and drinks, don't forget to check out their bowling section in the back. Kid-friendliness: Tables and seating were large enough for family dining. Parking: Parking spaces on the street are directly in front of the restaurant. Please be advised that all shops and dining share street parking.
Great food and service. We attended for lunch at noon and were able to get in and out in 45 minutes. The club was delicious although I must admit, I snagged a few bites of chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles are a cinnamon lovers dream.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
