The place is amazing. The architecture of the place makes you feel you are between mountains. What I loved the most that there are safety instructions. I really enjoyed my experience here. I encourage you to try this activity one time at least in your life to make muscles and toned arms.
Excellent climbing opportunities and overall experience at The Gravity Vault Hoboken, NJ. Whether you are an advanced or beginner climber, all are welcome. My son took his first lesson with Aleksandr. He explained everything in detail and how to avoid potential injury. He was extremely patient and communicated effectively. My son’s first experience was absolutely incredible and he would like to come back. I recommend to schedule an appointment before you come in.
great experience, it was my first time rock climbing and there are guides to help you. there 2 floors and they moves the accessories around, you can also find all level climbs. its a bit difficult in the beginning but later you start enjoying. you don't need to have guide/ helper always, you can also do climbing by yourself. there are energy bars and energy drinks available too. perfect activity for winters, definitely try this place.
Great spot. Unlike other climbing gyms, you are not allowed to watch your kids on an auto-belay unless you are yourself belay certified. Good variety of routes, 40 foot walls, and the second floor has some kid friendly routes eg a route which looks like the exterior of a brick house.
A great place to do some rock climbing before trying it on a actual mountain. Never been to such a place and the experience was amazing. The staff is very hospitable and they are generous enough to offer us Rock Climbing and Bouldering both under the same price for a friend’s birthday. Highly recommended for a team’s event or any outings with friends. Solid experience and worth the money. They have lockers which are free to put your belongings as well
Nice bouldering area on the 2nd floor. And no need to move around crash pads, the entire area underneath is well padded.
Great gym. Parking not the most convenient but that's expected for Hoboken.
We believe the staff was fatfobic my not recommending bouldering without even asking about our experience. We were planning a day there and we left feeling really bad with how we were treated. Hard to say if we’re going back anytime soon.
First and foremost, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The space is beautiful, but the size is a little deceiving. It looks huge, but there aren't as many routes as you'd imagine from the looks of it. It was not crowded when I went after work, but the gym just opened. The exercise area is small and would benefit from a little extra space, but they do have a moon board in that area. The boulder problems were inconsistently rated and could definitely use some improvement. In the top rope/lead area there are plenty of entry to mid level problems as well as many difficult ones. There are some interesting features on the walls, but I wish there was a chimney and more corners for more technical, interesting routes. There currently aren't lockers, but they are in the works. It doesn't seem like there will be very many when the lockers are added though. Overall, a very fun and enjoyable gym!!
I had an AMAZING experience going there for the first time. My boyfriend and I had a pleasure of meeting Rayann, our instructor. I highly recommend Rayann! Thank you for such a great experience!!
