The Inner Athlete

My 5 year old son just finished a whole summer of full day camp at TIA in the Monroe Center. He had an absolute blast and often will still talk about it and misses it now that camp is over. My son has a lot of energy and I feel like he needed all the physical activity that TIA has to offer. But they also let him rest when he needed it. The coaches are all wonderful and thoughtful about kids' needs. They are very upbeat, warm and nurturing. They are well organized and there is a clear plan for the day which is good so kids and parents know what to expect which I think is good for the kids. Coach Julia was absolutely amazing with our son, who in the beginning, had a hard time getting used to the new environment. She was wonderful with communication with us and with working with him so patiently and sensitively and with lots of positive reinforcement. We are grateful for her and there were other super sweet coaches whom i don't know their names but were so sweet!. He really blossomed there over the summer and we are grateful! We highly recommend!!

My daughter is in the 2.5-4 year old class with Claire and Julia and I just had to write and explain what a fantastic job they’re doing. My daughter and I took the Mommy and Me class about a year ago before she turned 2 and she has always loved it but has been really reliant on me for full participation in activities. She’s extremely strong willed and has difficulty warming up to other adults and children. Within two classes, she is a different kid. She absolutely LOVES Coach Claire and Coach Julia and is eager to participate in activities with them and independently. She’s not turning to look for me every few seconds because she is so engaged. She smiles and speaks with them which doesn’t seem like a huge deal to a 2.5 year old but trust me, it’s ENORMOUS. Both coaches make a point to talk to her specifically and invite her to join in activities and she responds so well to their interactions. I’ve really had a hard time with my daughter during her 2 year old year at home and in classes and this is the only class I’ve seen her come into her own. She’s typically one to cling onto my leg and bury her face when someone speaks to her but in TIA class she is really her best, happiest self. I highly recommend!!

My son has been going to TIA for 3 years now and I just cannot say enough great things about it. He has done everything from summer camp to after school programs and special sessions while school is out for vacations. The coaches are amazing and nurturing, the activities are super fun and engaging and he can’t wait to go back the next day! 10/10 recommend!

Our son has taken part in TIA’s weekly sports class this past Spring and this summer, the camp at Maxwell Park. We cannot thank Coach Claire and The Inner Athlete team of coaches enough for making his experience this summer such a fun one! Our son could not have been more excited each morning to go to camp. He made great friends and we loved hearing all about the different sports and activities he did each day. Even on the 90+ degree days they managed to come up with fun water games for the kids. The Inner Athlete team was absolutely amazing at my son's 6th birthday party! They came so well prepared, set up a wonderful course and plenty of games that were applicable to all ages of kids in attendance. My 4-year-old has already decided he needs an inner athlete birthday too :

After my son loved the Innerathlete summer camp we knew we wanted their coaches at his 4th birthday party. The process was easy and organized and all the kids of many ages had a blast playing soccer, baseball, hockey and football in the park. The coaches were engaging and kept it moving so that no one stopped! Parents loved that the kids were busy busy. The birthday boy was THRILLED. Thank you Innerathlete for a great day! It won't be our last party with you !!

We are loving TIA for our little human! The coaches are really wonderful. The classes are well constructed and developmentally appropriate to keep kids engaged, active, and having a great time. Highly recommend!

We love this place for our kids. They’ve got the best staff huge shout out to coach Julia, coach Andrea and coach Claire, the best activities and are just full of such care, heart and love. It’s not a chain, it’s a small local business and we happily have sent our kids here for summer camps, weekday classes and school breaks. Thank you TIA!!

My little one goes there regularly and just LOVES it! We celebrated her 4th birthday party and it was just wonderful! The staff is very attentive, the kids had a lot of fun, the birthday girl felt special, I highly recommend.
