The Green Chicpea

I went here thinking it was a normal salad bar but it was even better than expected! I got the bowl and chose to make the salad my base with the shredded chicken, potato salad and chickpea salad… The flavor was delicious and fresh! The garlic sauce on top hit the spot and I think this place has the best baklava I’ve ever had!

Monday, December 5, 2022, I received my platter with a long curly strain of hair in my beet salad. I find this to be very concerning that some of our staff is not practicing food safety handling procedures. Health hazard and someone can become sick because of this mistake. Please rectified this for it is alarming. By the way, my hair is 4c blonde. Yup I’m African descent and this strain I found is giving someone with a weave or Spanish or Middle Eastern. Gross Attached below is a picture of the strain of hair I pulled out my beet salad. I call to find out you who made my order and I understand that co workers must be protected however I am customers and did not pay almost a $20 to not enjoy my salad. This is a fail to me. Update: 1/28/2023 It is apparent that the owner did not read the entire review. I did call the store and the worker bee was reluctant to answer my questions yet suggested I send an email which was another fail attempt for resolve.

Got lunch here. Plenty of seating. Liked the food. My friend wanted to know what a particular salad was called and the server just sulkily looked at my friend like “don’t bother me”. My friend asked again and got a very reluctant answer. It was our first time visiting and we needed help understanding how the platters work but the servers seemed annoyed by our questions and we just got the first thing we saw to just get it over with. I think Portions are not good compared to the other places in the area priced similarly. Saw people coming in so I’m sure this place isn’t all bad. They seem to have regulars. But my friend and I aren’t going back here because the first visit was unpleasant.

Generous portions with plenty of seating. Prices are very reasonable too. Parking may be challenging; however it is walking distance to public transportation. Nearby office buildings, museums, and universities. This place will continue to be successful on account of the quality of service, fresh ingredients, and friendly environment.

Saw an ad posted for counter help, yet they are completely closed. No phone answer. Edit: I went BACK the next day when you were open- since your hours are INCORRECT on Google, and per your ad requesting “walk-ins any day of the week.” You can see by the OWNER’S response they are completely rude, and posted a misleading ad. I would never want to work for anyone so unorganized.

My favorite place to eat!! The food is always fresh, heart healthy, and the portions are great. The service is always a pleasure.

A little pricey for what you get. The platter is 3 salads and 1 pita, And a tiny sauce. Other places give all the salads and large amounts of sauce. Tasty falafel and salads.

Clean, great staff and great food! Food hit the spot and didn't make me feel like I ate too much. Highly recommend for lunch or a snack.
