The Halal Guys

I grew up on east coast so I know the NYC Halal Guys carts very well and have eaten their food dozens of times. Tastes very similar to the original...my only complaint is they don’t put as much meat on and it’s not as finely chopped. Other than that it’s still the same great food I absolutely love! White sauce and a little bit of hot sauce!!! Glad they are doing brick and mortar stores now so I can enjoy it here in Arizona!

Fantastic food! The chicken was juicy and flavorful while the pita was soft and fluffy! I’m usually a very picky eater but the young girl at the counter made finding food that I would find very delicious so easy! She was able to describe the different tastes of various menu items and helped me order just right! I believe her name started with an m? I’m not sure but she was so helpful to a picky eater like me! Will be coming back to eat more delicious food!

I can't believe the amount of food you get for the amount you pay. I will definitely be back. Very reasonably priced and the taste of the food definitely made me want to come back. I will definitely be back and will be recommending this place to anyone asking for a new place to try out.

The one gentleman that was making my gyro told his co-worker they needed to make more beef. His co-worker said there was enough for a sandwich but the first gentleman should have gone with his first instinct to make more because the beef i received in my sandwich was disgusting. It was drowned in grease and was old, flavorless, and tough. The "sauce" they drizzle on had no flavor and tasted like straight mayonnaise. I also found it bizarre that the pita was kept on top of the cooked chicken. And how does a gyro place not have tzatziki or feta??? Overall just plain gross. I can confidently say i will never eat there ever again and i will encourage friends to try elsewhere, as well.

We went to the Tempe location as soon as it opened and I’m so excited that they have one in Mesa now. The chicken sandwiches are SOO GOOD and the gyro is too! They have great French fries, hummus and baklava. Our 1 year old son is as obsessed with the white sauce as we are LOL. My husband likes to mix the hot sauce with the white sauce. So good with the fries!!!!
