My friend told me about this place because they know I’m luv me a good pastrami sandwich. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. It’s a pretty solid sandwich. $12 for tasty, loaded to the brim pastrami sandwich. It’s constantly busy but the staff have a. System down so you don’t have to wait long. I would order chili cheese fries for the table, but add tomato and pickles to help balance all that chili.
Moved to California 8 months ago and I finally tried a pastrami burger at The Hat. So delicious! The beef patty was perfection. It was a little crisp on the edges just like it should be. The pastrami was heavenly. The sandwich was so big I almost had to unhinged my jaws to eat it. The sauce finished it off. I will definitely be back.
If your a pastrami guy like me and your in LA you have to go to the hat.. it's a toss up between Johnny pastrami and thr hat.. they are both good.. I've eaten pastrami all over the world and this is some of the best.. My advice go around the side, wait until you see one of the workers bring out the steaming pot of pastrami, tip them $5 and just have them pile that in a plate! Thank me later
What an amazing place. The pastrami sandwich was perfect, the mustard and pickles compliment the meat in a very good way. The fries are lovely too. Loved the whole thing!Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
How do you say delicious? Roast Beef Dip Sandwich with au jus and brown gravy at "The Hat" Just off old route 66 the place was clean, staff friendly and fast and the food was amazing. Beware an order of fries will feed 4. This is a must for a foodie.
Went here on a whim after we areived. Didn't have any expectations and was blown away! The pastrami dip sandwich was absolutely amazing! Added peppers to it and it was even better. I hope to go there again sometime.Food: 5/5
In the area working from Texas, The Hat was recommended to me by a co-worker. The service was good, the food was made fast and it was AMAZING! I loved my pastrami cheese burger and the Pina cola soda was fantastic! I'll have to stop here again before I go back to Texas.Food: 5/5
The food is good, but very heavy. I shared food and I was not able to gorge myself upon my feast. Half of the half a sammich was enough. Got the chili cheese fries and pastrami sammich. Make sure you get onions and pickles to cut the richness of the chili.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
This was our first time here and it was good overall. The fry portions are insanely large and delicious, could easily be split between 2-3 people! The steak sandwich was not good at all. The steak was super thin and way overcooked. It was too tough to even eat . The pastrami was very good as were the cheeseburgers.
The food is great and personally I love their pastrami fries they are very very good, definitely recommend trying those they are bomb. Very big fan of the pastrami sandwiches as well, they are very good and recommend trying them with the little yellow peppers, makes them 10x better. The cleanliness is pretty decent. Besides all that it is a very clean and great environment and again recommend going if your nearby and want some Very very good pastrami, another thing to note is it does tend to get pretty packed so try to come before or after the lunch rush, it saves you a lot of time and waiting.
