A good sports bar to go to when in the downtown Portland area. They have plenty of TV playing sports. We came to watch a game and had some happy hour. The service is pretty good for being how busy they were. The happy hour food is decent. I did enjoy their smash burger and fries.Food: 4/5
The food was disappointing. Took a long while to get it, and a large portion of boneless wings is not worth the buck. Fries were cold. But to be honest, I am not sure if it was because of the service. Our group was ignored a couple of times. They had lots of sports, though, and a large selection of beer. But that's it.
Typical sports bar. Big, open, echoing, screens everywhere so you never have to talk to your wife again lol. Food was ordinary bar fare burger, salad, wings, etc, prices ordinary, drinks standard. The most mid place I've been to downtown.Food: 3/5
Stopped by to watch the NFL. They have a bunch of screens showing all the games. Food was classic bar food but of a decent quality, came out quickly and hot. Great selection of beers on tap and a full bar for cocktails. Service was attentive. Will definitely come back.Food: 5/5
Best place in town I've found to watch mainstream American sports in Portland. Comfortable seating, lots of TV's, some of them very large. Food menu is limited, but the food is decent. Food seems a little expensive to me, but I'm old and don't go out much.Kids are okay here. A big plus for dads.Food: 3/5
Nice spacious sports bar with a ton of flat screens for all your big game needs! They have a vast list of great beer on tap for a decent price. Their food is solid. Gourmet bar food. Just an all around good spot to spend a few hours watching sports with your friends!
Super Bowl was an amazing experience. The manager and waitress were incredibly gracious. Food and drinks were great. Would definitely recommend!Food: 5/5
If I could give this 0 stars I would. Misogyny & microaggressions. If you are not a white, cis, het man or in a group with that majority, you will be discriminated against. There was not a single black person there, which should’ve tipped me off. And there weren’t any groups of non-cis men. My friends and I sat down & were immediately ignored by the bartender. After 15min, we didn’t even get the waters we asked for. They were busy, so we shrugged it off. I asked a server to change one of the 3 TVs near us playing the same game. The manager came over with a remote, so I asked curiously if it was possible bc I was eager to watch my Alma mater play. He proceeded to condescend to me explaining how TVs work and as he walked away put up his hands in front of me and said, “Just let me do my job.” Our group of 6 women was quiet and at no point was rude, demanding nor outwardly upset - though we should’ve been. This was 20min after we sat down and the bartender finally came over to get our orders. I calmly mentioned that the manager was quite rude. The bartender said, “Well you’re welcome to tell him that bc I’m not going to.” Then, unprompted, he said,” If you don’t like it you can leave.” So we did. Don’t comment unless you have something constructive or kind to add. Curious to see if management responds considerately to this post.
The sports bar to go-to, for any and all games/matches! Plenty of TV's, delicious food, and a full-service bar. My biscuits and gravy, and Chicago dog were top-notch. Not to mention their Pickle-Back is served with homemade juice. Professional service thank you Merete, and an overall relaxing sports scene. There's also one pool table for in between games.
Came to Independent for a 10am Seahawks game. Pretty busy spot with lots of TV’s and multiple games on. Server was great and attentive, highly recommend the Hot Shot for a morning drink. And then…we got our breakfast… I ordered the Indy Hash substitute Brussels Sprouts for mushrooms and Texas toast. What I got was a plate of French fries with two fried eggs on top, scant of vegetables and no Texas toast. She ordered Eggs Benedict and those also came with French fries instead of breakfast potatoes. The person who dropped off our breakfast said “sorry we ran out of potatoes!” This is not okay! If you don’t have the ingredients available for what we ordered then give us another option. This is not unreasonable. If you come here in the morning for a game order food early before they run out of necessary ingredients.
