The Kitchen At Westwood

My husband is Turkish, we were really looking forward to trying this place and went out of our way to go - we are from Santa Barbara. Unfortunately we were totally disappointed. The guy at the counter acted like he was being forced to work there, no smile, no happiness. When we ordered, my husband even tried to speak the guy in Turkish - he still wasn't friendly. The food took forever, was slightly cold, and nothing special. I ordered a water, the counter guy never brought the water and never asked if we needed anything... it's a small restaurant and we were one of two couples eating at the time, so no excuse for such bad service and cold food. Usually I take the food home - but it wasn't worth the effort asking the guy for anything. I make better Turkish food at home, and I am not even Turkish. They should do better!

A very nice place. Though it is not very large the food is great, also the attitude of mr. Huseyin. Should try it if you are around

Love it! Some of the best food I've had in a long time! Small and cozy, but traditional good food in a great location!
