The Local

The Local by far has some of the freshest tasting food in town, and the restaurant itself has a unique vibe compared to the other restaurants in Cody. It feels fancier than most places in town, and the food actually feels fancier as well! I would love to eat there more, but I can't afford it, they are expensive! they have a quality over quantity mentality, which is fine... but don't go hungry, because the majority of people that attend probably aren't looking to the local for a filling meal. I understand that you will have a higher fee for a better made meal, but it's so high that I can only afford to go maybe a small handful of times a year. The last time I went, there were 4 of us with a gift card of $100... 4 basic drinks (i.e. tea or soda), 4 meals, and 2 desserts cost us the entire gift card, and $30 on top of that... That's a lot of money from a small town like this for a meal... That bill would make more sense in Jackson, not Cody..

Great atmosphere and food. Our whole family enjoyed the meal (which is rare), and my 9-year-old said it was the best grilled cheese he'd ever had. We'll be back as often as possible.

The food is very fresh and delicious! The menu is simple, but they have options to suit anyone.

Never had a bad meal here! Ordered the burger with blue cheese it is the best I have had in Cody. Plus they have beers on tap and service is great!

Everytime we visit Cody, Wyoming we have to go to The Local. It is by far the best restaurant in Cody. My favorite is thier lambburger. Actually there hasnt been anything that I have ordered that was disappointing. On your next visit say hello to Tiffany on of my favorite cheffs...
