Atmosphere 5/5: such a beautiful venue with a gorgeous view of the city, a balcony that overlooks the reception hall, every detail classy! Food 5/5: every bit was high quality. I loved everything I tried and the presentation was just as epic as the taste. Staff 5/5: all the staff were friendly and helpful.
It's always amazing going back to the Lucy. Such a chic place right in the heart of Philadelphia, just a blog from City Hall!. and being a part of Cescaphe group, you are in for a treat with amazing food and amazing service. Here are some amazing photos we took of the venue!
The Lucy is such a pretty, modern spot for Philly venues. You are guaranteed to have a great time at a Cescaphe wedding but with The Lucy being right on Broad St with hotels right nearby and a beautiful view of Philadelphia to show off to your friends and family, it makes it one of the venues that I recommend to friends getting married. So much staff there to cater to everyone at the event and the offices of Cescaphe will be in constant communication with you throughout the process.
When it comes to luxe wedding venues, The Lucy by Cescaphe Weddings is on the top of the list for a Philadelphia wedding. This venue hits all the notes because of the high attention to detail in the design of the venue, the quality of the food, and the professionalism of the waitstaff. Located in the Avenue of the Arts in City Center, The Lucy is stunning. From the moment you walk in, you are enveloped by the classic 19th-century styling. Chic and modern with marble adornments and their signature chevron dance floor combine to make this venue impressive no matter how many guests you have. One of the best features of The Lucy is that you can have both your ceremony and your reception there. Between, guests can congregate on the second-floor Mezzanine overlooking the Grand Hall for their signature hour and a half cocktail hour. There is plenty of space for them to socialize and enjoy their top-shelf offerings while the wedding couple and bridal party take advantage of this time for photos. IG: @irynashostakphotography
We were lucky enough to be able to have our wedding at The Lucy on our original wedding date of September 17th, 2021. We have been to multiple Cescaphe weddings, and those friends have told us that Cescaphe truly makes everything so easy as a bride, and I absolutely experienced this on our wedding day. Jimmy and Thomas were amazing and helped us every step of the way, leading up to the wedding and on our wedding day. If I was thinking that I needed something, I would turn around and they would be there with whatever I needed. The planning process was stressful during COVID but each member of Cescaphe always answered us, and eased our concerns. The Lucy itself has a great layout with the cocktail hour on the second floor with room spanning windows overlooking Broad street, and the first floor makes a great ceremony and reception space. The chevron dance floor is a great size, and the mix of rectangular and circle tables makes for a really unique layout. It was super spacious for our 200+ person wedding. All of our guests raved about the food, ice sculpture, desserts, and late night breakfast bar. I highly recommend The Lucy and Cescaphe to all wedding couples!
We had the chance to attend a wedding at the Lucy back in February this year and we loved every minute of it. Such a unique place to photograph a love story. As wedding photographers our main focus is always the Bride & Groom, and when you have a place like the Lucy that goes beyond in offering such a unique experience to the couple it makes it so much easier for us, and it gives us an opportunity to capture some very unique photographs of the moments of people celebrating at such a venue
The wedding was beautiful. My cousin looked stunning. I only give 4 stars because I was not impressed with the food. I expected better. My filet mignon was overdone and slathered in gravy, which covers the taste of the filet. The music was stupidly loud as well. The event coordinator should have requested it be turned down a few decibels. My ears were ringing and my throat hurt from screaming at the people at my table to have a conversation. Loud music is fine, eardrum rupturing is not. The venue itself is very nice. The setup was great. The cocktail hour was very beautifully done. My opinion matters a lot less in this case than the opinion of the bride and groom. Im just a guest.
Attended my friends wedding reception. This venue is very Classy and Elegant, food was very good. Service top notch. One of the best venues I've ever attended a wedding reception. Definitely recommend.
Spaciously designed with high ceilings, tasteful decor, and room to host larger parties, this venue comfortably supported the Philadelphia Bar Association's annual holiday fête with the USMC and Toys for Tots. The catered food was top notch, ribs or flounder? Taste of Japan, Italy, even had a cup of Americana coffee with about 6 bite sized mostly choco-centric desserts. Highly recommend that you do NOT turn down an opportunity to attend a function here!
The space is aesthetically beautiful - contemporary, great lighting and very elegant. However, the serving staff, particular the bartenders, are awfully rude and culturally incompentent when it comes to serving a crowd that is diverse. Lastly, the acoustics are not good; it is very challenging to hear anything. I wouldn't mind coming to the space again, just not sure if I'd look forward to it per se.
