We are so happy we moved to the Ludlow in Philly. We are actually here for about 6 months for my daughters treatment and we chose the place after a video call without seeing the place. To say I was nervous about signing the lease sight unseen is an understatement. But I’m so glad I did! Our home is bright and feels very spacious with the tall ceilings. It’s beautifully designed with wood like floors and a gorgeous bright kitchen. The building is also incredibly safe which is super important since I’m here with my daughter. There’s tons of amenities like a pool table, open courtyard, media area, computers and work areas, free coffee/espresso bar, and more! The people who work here are awesome… Dre, Mo, Blanche, Tim, Callam and Kim are just some of the people who have made us feel so welcome during our stay here. My daughter says she is excited to go back home to San Diego to see her friends and go back to school but that she will really miss this home when we have to leave. The Ludlow also has fun events a couple times a month which is a great way to meet our neighbors. It’s also really really clean. I’ll add they are very responsive to maintenance requests. I messaged them over the weekend about the washer and got it fixed same day! I honestly can’t speak highly enough about the Ludlow- we love it here a lot!
Had the opportunity to visit this beautiful property and received the warmest welcome from the concierge, Andre. That interaction alone was worth a 10 star review. Not only is this in a wonderfully located area but the staff is kind and eager to assist. I had the most memorable experience on my visit and am eager to find the perfect home there.
I moved to The Ludlow almost a year ago and was the best decision I made! Love the area and the community! I feel safe. Everything is close by and convenient. I have a puppy and is the perfect building for those who have pets.
The Ludlow Apartments are extremely nice. They are impeccably clean and the staff are friendly and professional. They care about resident safety. The property manager Callam Frederick responds to questions quickly and goes above and beyond to resolve. Anytime I see Callam he makes a point to ask if I need anything and how my experience is at the Ludlow.
The facilities are luxury and location is central... BUT... paper thin walls and windows. Whatever's going on outside the apartment will be heard inside. You can hear every convo on Market St even while living on a higher floor and your neighbors' business will basically be yours, which is especially a problem since the place is popular with late night party-loving college kids and dog owners. We could hear everything going on in every apartment around at every time of day. Also, don't appreciate the $50+ dollar fee if paying rent with credit card when its $4 in my new apartment paying same rent amount. Really minded the noise levels inside the apt above everything in this place, especially as 2 of my neighbors had dogs that never stopped barking. Also the neon lights from Primark across the street flashing inside your bedroom made for extremely bright sleeping conditions without added curtains and sleeping mask and ear plugs from noise level. Otherwise, I probably would've stayed. But paper thin walls are definitely an issue. Also, I echo other reviewers' sentiments that Callam is friendly when he tries to get you to sign a lease but flat out ignores you and your requests after you move in.
The apartments are modern and well equipped albeit small. They come with smart closets, large modern fridges, full size washer/dryer and best of all gas ranges. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. I lived here for two years and my three big complaints are: a The leasing staff is very cold and not very welcoming b Manageent increased the rent 25% because of which I had to move out but then put the apartment on the marketplace with a lower rent than what I was paying and refused to my extend my lease at that advertised price c The HVAC units are extremely loud like so loud you wont hear much else when they are running
I greatly enjoyed my time at The Ludlow. The building, the fellow residents, and the staff made it a fantastic place to live. I’d highly recommend it to anyone considering a move to Center City, Philadelphia.
The management team was horrendous. They failed to communicate properly during fire alarms which happened at 3am in the morning. Also, the cleaning staff was super racist and always questioned why I was in the lounge area.
I have been living at the Ludlow for 4 years now, I love it, I love the building design and the location. Unfortunately, the management is getting worst. They have been less responsive to our needs, the security got worst over time, and the worst part is the management asks the residents to take responsibility of their faults. We had few episodes of people transpassing the property without permission. Front desk people are often absent, we have been told they do routine rounds, but I can say, if they leave the desk they should ask someone else to cover the front instead of leaving it unattended. I am very disappointed. It seems we as residents are not heard. If there is a lack of professionalism from their part, they should improve it, instead of putting on others, especially the residents. They also enforced rules such as no delivery person allowed to our apartment for food delivery. I found this a great discomfort as it was never a problem. However, they never control or check whoever comes in and never call us to check or confirm our guests. They never ask for the IDs and no one knows our faces as there is too much turnover among the front desk people. We also dont know their faces for the same reason. Lately, the portal was modified and we are not able to request support maintenance. They also have raised the rent of 17%, which was never seen before or somewhere else. Two other things, which I got used to unfortunately, but they really bother all of us. Coffee machine often broken or without coffee beans and alarm going off too often and anytime of the day/night.
Live here! Nothing but good things to say about the Ludlow. Beautiful building and apartments, nice leases, great location, amazing staff Andre is great.
