The Neighborhood Restaurant

I had breakfast here this morning, and the food was delicious. I ordered a garden vegetable and feta omelet that came with a side of beans and rice. They also gave a large plate of bread and what I expect is a piece of red velvet cake. As I am gluten intolerant I was unable to partake in that plate of glory, or the cream of wheat they offered. They never brought my fruit I was supposed to get instead of cream of wheat either. That was a bummer as I was looking forward to the fresh fruit this morning. I also didn't get any water until I requested a glass, but they did give me a tiny glass of orange juice and some mediocre coffee without my having to ask. It felt difficult talking to the wait staff because they would come up then rush off before I could swallow my food to say anything and every interaction I did have with someone working there felt very cold and brisk, then I was informed after I ate most of my meal that it was cash only. They have an ATM, but it does charge you extra to use. The food really was good, and the outdoor seating was very nice, but I was dissapointed with the service, especially since I was one of very few people there. I am giving it 4 stars, but am very tempted to give only 3.

I come here every time I'm in Boston. Delicious food with amazing coffee and baked goods. Their cream of wheat is fantastic. Definitely worth the wait if line is big! Just make sure to bring cash 👍🏽

Absolutely love this place. I feel like it’s reasonably priced for the amount of food they gave. On top they were always understanding whenever my EMS partner and I had to call to push back our pick up. They even kept our food warm when we called them letting them know we’ll be late due to a call. ITS A CASH ONLY PLACE!

Absolutely spectacular. I've been here multiple times, and experiencing going here has always become pleasing and welcoming environment. This includes the surroundings, and food quality and pricing. Overall, a wondrous time!

Great daily specials. As everyone says the cream of wheat is addictive. Price may be a bit on the higher side but you get so much food. I usually end up taking half home. On the weekends, get there early otherwise there's a waitlist.
