Ages ago my husband and I took introductory flight lessons here, but today I was back with my 2 year old grandson to watch planes. The observation deck is amazing. It's indoors, so temperature and weather are not a factor for watching. He had a great time watching the planes, fuel trucks, and airport fire truck. There are panels of Cesna and Piper airplane pictures and descriptions to identify what we were seeing. Even the radio conversations are piped in. We will be back!
New airport renovations have created a beautiful, impressive facility.
We love visiting this place and was considering moving into the area until I learned of a dirty secret of the airline industry: small planes run on leaded fuel, leading to increased quantities of lead in the surrounding environment and individuals. Very unfortunate this is poisoning the community.
Great regional airport. Staff is helpful, facility is clean and modern, plenty of parking, free amenities...Nice restaurant " The Barn Stormer".
Ate twice at Barnstormers -- Friendly, quick service. Food was excellent. Bought fuel several times over 10 days and service was quick. Billing was accurate. Good place to do business.
My son has started flying lessons. Easy in and out, fantastic staff. A bit cloudy today but still had a great time.
The FBO is modern and has great clean facilities. The airport is active enough to always have services for pilots and planes available unlike some smaller local airports. On extremely busy days the main parking lot can get a bit full and you'll need to use the reserve parking lot but that isn't a big problem.
The new terminal building is amazing. Yes the old building had its "charm" but the building now is so much more open and the views are amazing. I was shocked when I saw the construction of the building was completed 5 months ahead of schedule! It's a great place to take the kids to see airplanes. The staff has always been friendly and yes, there is still popcorn available!
Not sure why an airport is allowed to be built so close to residential properties with no hours. I hear these planes all morning, night, and day. How is this okay?? It ruins everyones life quality and I will will never buy property near here.
Took a random flight here with my son one day it was awesome. They also have flight towers that you can visit. You can also rent out a room in the flight tower to throw parties if you would like. Good for family fun for the all out enthusiast.
