Great 100 year old building. Decorated like an old fashioned cafe complete with French music. We had probably the best server I've ever had and all the servers are dressed to the nines. The stroganoff was delicious. The plates are pretty large. A great experience!

Most racist and discriminating place ever. It was my friends birthday so we picked this place because we had never been there before. I told the waiter I wanted a big steak and the waiter stated that the steak was a big size. I was expecting a big steak instead the waiter brought me out this little tiny Steak and later on told me it was an 8 ounce streak. I told him I did not want it and wanted to order something else. The waiter got defensive and refused to exchange it. He stated “we are not going to get you something else because you want more food” so I told him I did not want the steak. He persisted on sticking me with the check even though I did not eat it. He then ignored me and later came back and asked if my friends needed anything, but didn’t ask me. My friend then asked to speak to someone higher up. He refused at first and later got another colleague to come and talk to us. I told him about the situation and he stated it was a personal issue and took the steak away. Later on we asked for our checks and he had added the plate that I refused to eat to my check stating that I still had to pay for it or he would call the cops on us. I told him to go ahead and call the cops. That’s when the actual supervisor came and removed the steak off of the check. I asked to speak to her and she blew us off and walked away. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant!

Make sure you have reservations. Nice, intimate setting. For couples and large parties. Wish they would change the main menu more often and not run out of what the special is for the evening. Waiters need to smile more. That's why they only got 4🌟's.

We went for a Christmas celebration with about 8 people. Save your money, it was 3+ hours before we got our over salted, tough food. Slow & inconsistent service to our guests as they arrived, slow to ask about drinks or appetizers and we had to keep passing around menus. Terribly slow to bring the food with no explanation, though servers darted around our table frequently. They finally replaced our butter knives with steak knives, so we thought it was a good sign, but nope we still waited. Then finally someone came and assured us our dinner would be ready soon. The food was very very salty (and I like salt) and several of the steaks were so tough the table was shaking as our group tried to saw through them, even the rare steak. One steak out of the bunch was tender. We decided we might as well try dessert, since we'd been there so long, but that also took forever and was not amazing. The gratuity was added automatically at 20%, and they didn't offer any apologies or comps for the wait. Also as others have said they won't split the bill by orders. They did offer to split it equally between guests, but as some had ordered appetizers and drinks, and some were couples wanting to pay together, that didn't feel helpful.

This is probably our favorite restaurant in Salt Lake, or at least top 5. We’ve never had a bad meal. You have to get the fillet, it’s fantastic. The service and ambiance can’t be beat compared to other places in the city. 👏🏻
