Story

The Press Restaurant was established in 1995 to bring good food, good drink and good music together under one roof. Our building at 129 Harvard Avenue, Claremont, California was built in 1920 to house the printing presses of The Claremont Courier. As The Press Restaurant, the building is now a lively local gathering place for the foothill communities, one that's unique but, somehow, reminds everyone of home. Please come join us.

Great staff amazing music and well made cocktails what else can you ask for.
Really great place to go if you're looking for a place to eat or just have a few drinks. Live music almost every night. Great experience each time I've been here!
Great bar staff, and the live acts and trivia nights are dope af. Decor is really pleasant too.
The French fry mix with Yuca and sweet potato fries was great, the taco salad was okay, though it lacked character and variety of greens.
Been a regular for music and meals for over 15 years. Everything is wonderful here. Appetizers, bread, yucca chips, bread pudding Yum! Main dishes and the Dinner Specials are the best! I can't say there is a single item I've ever tried on the menus I didn't like. I've come for just juice and lunch to an anniversary dinner. It's always great and I love the ambiance.
Good craft beer selection, live music was better than average but if your sitting close and depending who is playing it might be good to bring your ear plugs. Staff was super friendly but just too sparse. For a Friday night with live music they seemed understaffed.I didn't get my first drink for almost an hour, which is why I gave three stars. I will go back but I won't go thirsty.
Excellent beer selecting, make sure to check the board because not everything is listed in the menu. Good food, or if it group of 12 my chicken pan was the last exciting, just an average run of the mill chicken pan with not quite al dente pasta. But the cauliflower soup was great. The acoustics were a bit loud, but the band on Thursday was fun. Good atmosphere, I'll be back.
It is a great restaurant that is located in downtown area of Claremont! I have been here a few times. However, I never had the chance to eat from the menu. The reason for it is that I would come listen to live bands, and grab some drinks. Thus, their drinks, in my opinion, are best quality, especially cocktails. If anyone visits this restaurant, I would recommend them to taste adios. Of course, there are other items to drink and eat. Still, adios is my favorite cocktail at this establishment. In addition, the bands are worth to check out and listen to.
The food is interesting, complex and extremely flavorful. Certainly better than the burger chain in the packing house. We have eaten here many times without poor experience. They have been accommodating in preparing simple, but very tasty meals from those of us with dietary restrictions. The atmosphere makes it easier to have a conversation. And they serves something other than over priced beer. I recommend the chocolate stout. You might not eat vegan and yet you might find the vegan desserts delicious because they are not overly sweet. Excellent Manhattans. There are two odd aspects about the place. One is smokers' gauntlet. Just pass by them. The second is music. Often it is very interesting, but we tend to find it too loud due to the small size of the dining area. However, others disagree.
Great place to hear good music. Drinks are on the pricey side so expect to spend a bit more for the atmosphere. Gets really busy and hard to find a table so if you dont want to stand at the bar all night be sure to get there at least an hour before the music starts. Overall fun local place.
