The small town college atmosphere and the flavorful food make this place great. Fast service and a big enough selection to keep you coming back.
In the area and discovered the Village Grille, very cool old school diner. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the atmosphere. Highly recommend itDine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
I enjoyed the wonderful food severed by a kind and friendly server. I ordered the Healthy Omelette breakfast.
Right of the bat, seating was odd, just shy of rude. It was clean. My bacon cheese burger and sons chicken tenders were decent. My coffee was great. Prices decent. Tables, restaurant and restrooms were clean, packed. Just 50s decor and layout. I could barely hear the 50s music . Going to come back earlier for thr wafflesFood: 3/5
My breakfast experience was great I had a great waitress in fact I observe her Character as patience and kind to a customer that appear to have mental health issues, the woman was dressed clean and nice. I also observed and overheard another waitress Insisting that she leave, it must stop Assuming that this woman should stop coming into the restaurant. The woman was pleasantly talking to herself but she was not disrupted. I live in this community and see a numerous of homeless people with mental illness it’s part of our culture. We must remember that we all must treat people with kindness, dignity and respect. This woman left peacefully paid for her meal she was just a person with a mental illness she wasn’t Disturbing anyone the cameras can prove this. Peace!
There just aren't enough places around like this anymore! Great service, excellent food and reasonable prices in an environment that is cozy and feels like home. If you arrive when they're busy, they ARE worth the wait!Food: 5/5
It’s a diner. If you are going for some good diner comfort food like hash browns, bacon and eggs you will be happy. But don’t expect much more, just satisfying classic diner food and good people. Worth a morning breakfast stop when I’m Claremont.
Old-fashioned diner experience - complete with a retro atmosphere. Did not care for our waitress, but everyone could have a bad day - so not reflected in the score. Took some visiting girls from Japan and they loved it!
The smoked ribs was juicy and meat was supple easily came off the bones. I definitely will come back for more! ^_^ Gastronomic experience at its hilt! And my eyes feasted on great American history. Highly recommended.
I came here once for a breakfast, at the end of May 2021, before heading to work. The meal, that I have ordered was delicious. At the same time, it was not on the expensive side. Furthermore, in the morning, there was ample of space to sit down, enjoy the meal, and drink coffee. The waitress, who attended my table, was friendly, helpful, and polite. Another positive note of this establishment, they had unlimited coffee refills. Of course, for the first coffee, I had to pay. Thus, if anyone is looking for a fairly priced restaurant in downtown area of Claremont, I would recommend to stop by Village Grill!
