The Ranch at Las Colinas

I never review my dining experiences, but this one was too good to go unrecognized. Not only was the food delicious, but our server Cameron was incredibly nice. In addition to amazing service, both he and the manager, Elliot, were so kind and congratulatory to my friend who is expecting her first baby. It made her feel very special. My friend and I drive in from out of town and meet in the middle to see each other. We've decided to make this our official "spot." Thanks again to those guys for the great experience.

The atmosphere and furniture was nice. The waiter was amazing- very courteous. The food lacked in luster. My salad had the core of the lettuce bulb in it, and was not chopped up enough. I ordered the grits and it was too thick. Our waiter was kind enough to take that off my order, which was very kind of him. I wouldn't be against going back- I will have to try their turkey burger or tacos next.

This was my first time at this place. I wanted to see what it was all about. First thing I noticed walking in was the darkness. Didn't expect it to be that dark. Got to my table and the waiter came. He was very nice and informative of the menu which was a plus. I ordered the 8 oz steak with mac and cheese. It was very good. I would come back for the food, but I'm not crazy about the darkness and how loud it is. It's louder than it should be for a nice place. I don't think this is an ideal place for a first date when you're trying to get to know someone. Just my opinion.

The Ranch is a nice upscale-ish bar and restaurant right at the edge of Las Colinas. It's perfectly suited for business dinners and drinks as a result it is usually busy. While there is a parking lot, the restaurant is situated in a very busy strip mall with a lot of other restaurants so parking is hard; my advice is to use the Valet, they work on tips. They had a good country singer playing live during my last visit which was nice. The patio is really nice and relaxing. The cocktails are pretty decent, the beer selection isn't extensive but it's okay. Their food is good, I recommend anything and everything from the steak part of the menu. I've had the opportunity to try a couple of different things off the menu and it all tasted delicious. All in a decent place!

Whenever I am in the area, this is my go to place. Charles the GM, great guy. Helped me out with the single time I had an issue here and it’s because of how he handled the situation, I’m a dedicated customer for life. The venison chili is amazing and needless to say, so are all the dishes here. I only wish more places took care of customers the way they do here. This is one of the two steak houses that I frequent, the other is “The Grill on The Alley” in Thousand Oaks, CA.
