Friendly staff and great atmosphere and affordable prices. Bring your own gun or rent one for $8. If you rent a gun you can't bring your own ammo from outside. Bring your own gun and you can bring your ammo or buy ammo.. starts around $15. Have fun and be safe!

Go to another place. Range is in disrepair. The temperature inside is colder or hotter than the outside temperature. I was shooting and could see my breath. I feel dirty when I leave. Small range that isn't taken care of. Lights are dim or out, the targets sometimes don't work, extremely small selection if you won't to rent a pistol (which aren't cleaned or maintained).

Basic but fulfilling, pistol caliber only, and if you bring your own gear, you can spend $10 or less per session. That's wicked cheap, got pretty cheap ammo too if you don't bring your own. Owner is a funny guy. Oh, and the biggest thing, where the hell else can you shoot in town other than deep woods? NOWHERE. I'm not driving 45 minutes to spend $50 at indoor rifle ranges, I'll go to Fauquier and pay a farmer to let me rattle off some rounds on the back of his property.

The Range, a no frills indoor shooting center. Multiple lanes, range ammunition for sale, range rental guns, targets, accessories and more.
The staff is friendly, advice to the point and while not glitz and glam, the range is a great place to put some rounds on paper.
Closed on most Holidays and also Wednesdays for range maintenance. Call ahead to confirm they are open and have lanes available.

Nice chance to test out to 25 yards. Paper targets have their limitations, and I'm not entirely sure if the IDPA function will return. The prices are very affordable. The owner has a fantastic sense of humor, but maybe not for everyone. The staff is very to the point, and not looking to have unaccompanied risks present. The sentiment shows that, and I can also support catering to a more experienced group of shooters and law enforcement. There's no room for playing around or attitude, its get your holes as close as possible and be courteous and professional. If you want to mess around or learn as you go, maybe take yourself to Colonial Shooting down in Richmond where you can pay 30-50$ to have an experience.
That said, there are lots of things to improve on. I would personally love to come in there and organize the lobby and give it some fresh paint and drywall. The vent system works fine. Conversing with the owner revealed that the filters are changed once or more daily in order to not release contaminants into the outdoors. The range complies and exceeds the standards set forth for air quality at indoor shooting facilities. There needs to be an outdoor section or some kind of way to test rifles, shoot steel plates, practice IDPA, host more events, and more. There's no competition in town, and the demand is there. A little help from the LGS in the area, some advertising and events planning would propel this place into an extremely profitable and affordable operation. While the owner is an awesome guy, he's not the guy to take the next step to make it more than it is at the moment.
